Bought it brand new from pawn shop that I go to for all my guitar needs. 22 frets. one volume, two tone and a 5 way selector. s/s/h pickups that sound absolutely perfect. The finish is just plain beautiful. Burst that i think is teal. Strat body, string-thru, tremelo. Pretty much perfect features for what I paid for it.

This baby can get a whole array of sound out of it. I mainly play punk and hardcore, and while I wouldn't use it for hardcore, it sounds good for punk. Real full sound, and just barely buzzes. The single coil pickups sound a little too flat, but the humbucker more than makes up for it.

I've had it for about 4 months and it's still the same quality it was the day I bought it, and I play it every day. My only complaints are that it likes to fall outta tune and the strap buttons aren't as solid as they could be. I would use a backup with it, though, because of it's tuning problems.

I didn't have a lot of faith in Kona when I first saw this guitar. I'd never heard of them so I couldn't really have any preconceptions about them. But now I have full faith in Kona. I've been playing for about 3 years, so I don't have all the experiance I could, but I'd say this is quality and I'd reccomend it to a friend.

Made in Asia, solid Alder, and maple neck & rosewood finger board.H/s/s pickups, and vintage style Strat bridge with a wammy bar. This guitar has one tone , and volume, and a nice Tobaco sun burst finish; however the finish has some small blemishes around the headstock.this guitar is amazing due to the fact I won it on e-bay for just $100.00

This guitar has a very nice sound! I was expecting very dull sounding cheap pickups. Boy, was I supprised !!The sound is very open and airy, wich creates a lush vintage tone.It can get be a bit noizy at times, but that is to be expected with single coil pickups. The bridge humbucker has a nice grind, and growl tone. I am using the axe with a Fender deluxe 90 amp, and it seems to be a great combo for playing prog. blues, and hard rock!

The factory set up was fine, but I am going to have it properly set up by my local guitar tech.

This guitar surprised me big time. I paid a little over $300 US for this one and it was amazing! I actually bought it for my nephew to learn on, but wound up keeping it for myself...
This is a double cut-away, solid body, strat-style guitar. The finish on this one is a gorgeous blueburst. A+ on looks.
This particular guitar features 22 frets, volume control, 2 tone controls, 5-way pickup selector, S/S/H pickup config, string-thru-body, chrome tuners and a heck of a nice finish.
For the money, you can't beat this guitar.

Sounds great. I like the humbucker, and the single coils don't sound like the cheapie ceramics. I'm not sure what they are, but they sound GOOD.
I use it with a Fender Hot Rod DeVille 4x10 cab next to my 96 MIM strat. Currently use the Boss GT-6 effects unit, TS-9 tube screamer, and a Morley Bad Horsie Wah Pedal.
The humbucker side puts out some serious crunch. It's a sound that I can't get from my $1200 Strat. Sounds great. The single coils are not bad either. They're certainly not Texas Specials, but I like them better than the junk that most manufacturers put in their low end models.

Factory setup is not bad. Actually the intonation was perfect. I lowered the action just a little, but most will find that it is ok right out of the box.
Pickups are fine and give a pretty good response all the way across. Finish is excellent.
The only thing that I really don't care for on this guitar is the fret work. The frets are not filed to conform to the neck, and so sliding up and down quickly is a little uncomfortable (and easily fixed).

I have used this guitar on a few gigs and plenty of hours of practicing. It feels very solid, and I have had no problems with string breakage or gremlins.
I have actually dropped this guitar a couple of times, and it didn't even ding the finish!
I can't say I would use it without a backup... but then again I wouldn't play without a backup no matter what guitar I had. Breaking strings is not always the guitar's fault.. :)

Haven't needed to deal with Kona.. Actually I have no idea how to contact them, as they seem to be a small manufacturer who just deals with their distributors... No biggie though.
