This guitar was made in China for a Fort Worth TX. company,it is a 21 fret SOLID SPRUCE TOP guitar. The back and sides I belive are laminated rosewood. It has a cutaway gloss body and gold tuners. The gold tuners have no name on them but seem to work very well, the guitar has stayed in tune even though I play hard sometimes. The neck is a little thiner than other jumbo or dreadnought body styles. I bought this used and the first owner said they had it for a couple of years so I belive it is a 2003-2004 model.

Sound : 10
I play every thing from the Beatles to Metalica, but on acoustic I play songs like Blackbird, Tears in heaven, More than words, the kind of songs that have a lot of finger picking and/or some struming. I have to tell you this guitar works great for that type of music, the sound is rich and full. Each note is clear no matter if it's a bass note or a high note and when I strum a cord all the strings have the same volume. I can hear the bass, mids, and highs.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Like I said I bought this used so ther was some very, very light scuffs on the back. Mine came with a Kona case and was very well taken care of. The only thing was the saddle was a little high, I don't know if was the original or not but it made it harder to play than it needed to be. When I changed the stings I removed the saddle and sanded down the bottom, now it plays much better.

Reliability/Durability : 9
As I said this guitar is a couple of years old and you can tell this guitar was played but seams to have held up VERY well. The hardware still works great, the body still has a real nice gloss and I'm sure it will last for years to come.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to deal wiyh the company so I have no idea what their customer support is like.

I hve been playing for 26 years. I have owned MANY guitars over the years (and hope to own many more). As far as acoustic guitars goes, right now I own this Kona and a high end Samick. But over the years I have played every thing, and I mean EVERY THING! My favorite was an old Martin, there's a reason why everyone loves those guitars. As far as the Kona goes it's the best I have ever played in this price range, the best I have ever played for under 500$, and this guitar lists for 399$ but I have seen it for 199$ (no case) at justguitarsonline.com. To be honest I think my Samick plays just a little better but the sound of the Kona reminds me of that old Martin. I would absolutly buy another one if lost or stolden in fact I think I might by another one just to have. I love the way they look and sound. If you have a lot of money to spend you can get some thing better than this (like an old Martin), or if you don't care about sound you can buy a "name". If on the other hand you are like me and don't care about "names", just sound and how they play you will be happy with this. The only thing I might change about this guitar is the thin neck and make it a bit wider, i'm a big guy (6'1") with big hands
