I love this guitar. I previously owned a kramer focus 3000 and have owned this one for 2 years. They both had the same features but this guitar seems more carefully crafted and sounded much better. I Paid $200 with origional kramer case!!!!.

I like these guitars much more than fender strats because of the tone you can recieve with the H/S/S setting with the 5 and 3 way selectors. In my opinion this guitar could easily blow away a new $1000 Strat with the proper adjustments. First, I do not know what kind of humbucker was in it (Think 80's Seymore Duncan but may have been added by previous owner), but it didn't sound that great so I replaced it.

This guitar is much better than the focus 3000. When I bought it it looked brand new. I doubt if it was used more than 2 times and then put away in it's case. Neck has great action and is wonderful. The only thing I do not like about this guitar is the finish. It appears somewhat rippled (may be water damage from being stored in a basement I dont know), but not a huge deal.

Damn this thing is heavy. You know it's built like a rock when it weighs this much.

Kramer is owned by Gibson, a company I have grown to like and trust, so I dont expect any problems. Expecially since it's so solid.

I would hate to ever lose this thing. I am so parinoid about a fire or something like that because i dont know if i could find one in this great of condition. If I lost it I would be willing to pay $1000 for a replacement similar

The guitar appears to be late 80's/early 90's, I can't really specify much further. 5-way tone selector, S/S/H configuration (hehe, going from left to right anyhow) Floyd Rose II system. Strat-style guitar, neck has a great feel to it. It's a bit worn and there's a bit of crackle with the volume knob. Perfectly acceptable, given that it's used and atleast 10 years old. Otherwise, I'd give it a 9 or something.

It really sounds great, nice variety of clean tones. While I play mostly rock type stuff, I play a bit of jazz, and like I said, I love the clean tones, especially with just the neck pickup- very dark, full, rich and bassy. Nonetheless, it is a rock guitar, not some hollowbody or something. Not very noisy at all. Wide tonal variety- it can be bright and jangly, yet without sounding thin. I run it through a 25-watt Fender amp, also a Randall 500 head with a 2x12 Peavey cabinet. Great sound. I use a Boss Metal Zone for distortion. It sounds great, clean or distorted, but really, it's the clean tones that got my attention.

Judging from the rest of the reviews and looking at my guitar, the previous owner never made any major modifications, if any, to the guitar. Guitar feels great, fast neck. Action is just right- not too stiff, no rattling/buzzing/dead frets, stays in tune all the way up the neck, the whole deal. There's obviously a bit of wear and tear, but it's hardly noticable.

Well, there's hardly any wear and tear. And from the looks of it, it looks plenty sturdy. It's been used live before by the previous owner-it survived obviously. Aside from some crackling from the volume knob (easily fixed), no problem with durability.

Made in the late '80s in Korea, so I hear (I got it second-hand). Strat copy, plywood?? It's not that heavy- got a nice feel. S/S/H combo. 22 frets. The neck on mine is not original Kramer so I can't comment on it. Nice black finish, Floyd Rose II tuners, volume, tone, and 5-way selectors. This guitar is durable. It can take a hell of a beating (believe me, mine has) and still look good.

Very thick, fat tone. I like to play industrial/metal/rock and it sounds great on this guitar. My only gripe is that the low E has a tendency to buzz, but that comes and goes. Nice sounding guitar for the harder variety of music.

The guitar's well set-up. I got this second-hand so there are a few dings in the finish, and whoever put the new neck on it cracked the body a little. A few loose tuning pegs, but that's expected over years of playing.

This guitar's had beer bottles thrown at it (unfortunately ;P) and lasted through the assault. Hardware and finish will last. The whole thing's solid and I can definitely depend on it. I would use a backup b/c I suck at replacing strings quickly on a Floyd Rose, but if I was pretty handy at that, this guitar would be my only gig guitar.

Never dealt with customer support. I don't think Gibson supports the 300 HST since they were made during the reign of Kramer.

I've been playing for a few years in a punk band and this guitar is perfect for the types of music I'm into. I'd try to get another if this was stolen, but it would probably be difficult since these haven't been made in years. The tone and durability are great and I recommend this guitar whole-heartedly.

I dont know when this guitar was made I think around 1985 Im not sure when country it was made in but on the plate that the neck screws are bolted though it says USA but who knows. The Neck it made out of 4 pieces of maple and it has a rose wood fret board but it has a ply-wood body That will have to get replaced. The Body Shape is similer to a strat which is a bad thing because I hate the shape of the strat because its so fat look and rounded I like some thing like the Ibanez RG Shape or a Jackson Kelly shape. Its got a s.s.h. Pick up configation I dont know what the origanal Humbucker was because I bought mine 2nd Hand with a Seymore Duncan Duncan Distortion (SH-6B) Which sounds made. It has a Floyd Rose II (2) Trem with the locking nut and all thats. This guitar has 1 Volume and 2 Tone Controls A 5 way pick up selector swich and all so has a coil tap swich. When I got this guitar it came with a Flight Case. Its has locking tuners.I cant think of any thing more about it at the moment.

I play Metallica Pantera Slayer and all that sort of shit. I play though a KORG TONE WORKS AX1000G and a line 6 pod 2.0 and then in to a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier Full Stack With 4 Extenstion Speakers Cabnets (Each with 2x12")Umm Can pick up harmonics every where (Thanks to the Duncan Pickup)

I cant realy coment about this section because I bought it secondhand so I dont know what it was like factory. When I got it then finish was Scarched to hell so I got it re-finshed in a Lighting sky finsh.
It feels good to play.

Never had to contract Kramer (Which is owned by gibson now) I did contract Seymore Ducan about the pick-up as I was unsure of the model but I now know that its a SH-6BDuncan Distortion

Am not sure when it was made...in the 80's or 90's. Made in Korea? 22 frets, strat style body, pickups are S/S/H, 5-way selector switch, one volume, two tone knoves. And a very cool humbucker thre position split switch near the tone knobs. It has a Floyd Rose II locking system, locking nut. Nice fast, slim neck, black hardware. Got a nice gig bag with it.
This guitar is not made anymore, you can only find them used.

I like the sound. It is a fat strat style guitar but with the option of turning off part of the humbucker making it become a full single coil guitar. It's cool for the strat sound. I play rock/blues/metal and it does them all very well. I play through a peavey Classic 20 practice tube amp and also through a vintage Fender SF Bassman amp. This guitar is so quiet....i like playing the neck setting most because of the smoothness and bassiness, but they all sound good. Versatile. I like how it feels. It's heavy and the neck is fast, thin, and smooth. Unlike a strat, the neck is angled on this guitar, almost like it is in a Les Paul. This guitar is HEAVY, which is a good thing to me.

This guitar is solid! I got this guitar used at a music pawnshop, they did a good setup. The electronis are old now and they will need replacing soon probably. I recommend that on any lower priced guitar or any older guitar. It has a very solid and hard finish....i dont see anything needing fixing.

This guitar will probably withstand amost anything. The hardware seems like it will last. The finish seems like it could last a long time! The strat buttons seem solid. I think i could depend on this guitar without problems. And with the floyd rose system it stays in tune.
I wood use it on a gig without backup but it's a good idea to have one just in case you break a string. Always a good idea with any guitar if you are on stage.

This guitar was used when i bought it so there would be no more customer support anyway. Kramer went out of business and was bought out by gibson. I doubt they would support any of the guitars Kramer used to make but i havent needed their help.

I been playing off and on for around five years. I just bought a BEAUTIFUL new Jay Turser semi-hallow guitar. I have owned Marshall amps, Gibson Les Pauls, epi Les Pauls, epi explorer, crate amp. Right now i have a Peavey clasic 20 practice amp and vintage SF bassman. I bought this guitar because i had never tried a floyd rose system. If it were stolen i would hope to recover it. I love about this guitar, it's locking system, slim and fast neck, the coil spliter, it's versatility. Great value. I dont hate anything about it, it does it's role well. I chose this one because it was the only one with a floyd rose in the store at the time. For the price you get alot better guitar than you would expect.
The only thing you might want to do with it is customise the pickups and replace the electronics with newer stuff and great quality pots.
It does what it was ment to do GREAT!

LAST YEAR I BOUTGH A KRAMER 300HST IT WAS PLYWOOD BODY (NOT GOOD) KRAMER 300HST 80'S PLYWOOD WHITE TUNER LOCKS BRAND ON TUNERS STRAT STYLE. ROSE WOOD FINGERBRD, MAPLE NECK.
FLOYD ROSE II, HUMBUCKER, 2 SINGLE COILS ONE VOLUME TWO TONES 5 WAY SW, AND ANOTHER LITTLE SWITCH TO SPLIT THE HUMBUCK. PAID WAY TOO MUCH $500. BUT IT CAME WITH A ROCKMAN, WIRES AND TWO BOSS PEDALS. IT MAKES LOTS OF NOISE PLUGED IN AN AMP BUT AFTER I BOUGHT MYSELF A LES PAUL STANDARD, THE KRAMER BECAME A PROJECT BECAUSE I LOVED
THE WAY IT FEELS. I REBUILDED THE BODY OUT FROM A PIECE OF BRESILIAN MAHOGANY (HEAVY LIKE HELL NOW, BUT SOUND LIKE HEAVEN, (UNPLUGED))NEXT I ATTACK THE ELECTRONICS. IT'S GONNA BE A PIECE OF ART. HOFULLY I'LL KEEP IT AND SELL THE GIBSON....HIHIHI NOT!
