i believe i have a '76 or '77 kramer sg350 it has the (rare) black finish that is sought after. it has four controls- volume, tone etc.. the pickups have kramer engraved on them and eveything is original. it has the strat body style and the original tuners stamped "made in germany" with what appears to be an "s" above that.most features are the same as listed

this guitar does it all. period. i have used all different kinds of effects with this machine but it sounds best left to its own devices. i do have a bad pot and the pot that mixes the pick ups makes a buzzing noise when turned up. the plug must have some corrosion in it but could be replaced i hate to change it. i love it even though it cuts out and buzzes,it's hard for me to take it to a shop i'm afraid they'll want to modernize it or change the capacitors or something! but i know i have to do it because i can't find the original schematics and capacitor values.

the action is just that - action....all over the fret board baby. the pickups are great, its the pots that i need fixed the only thing this guitar has wrong with it is the original finish has actually stretched off of the guitar in a couple of spots. i'm guessing it wasn't in the nicest environment as far as temperature changes but the neck and aluminum are great

too heavy ,personally i'm not into the whole sore neck and lower back pain, but would still play it live , maybe i'd bring in a crane or something,ha!. my strap button is got some corrosion but works fine. at this point the guitar is not ready for gigs or the studio unless i get a small team of elves to hold my cord in a certain position that produces sound. but soon the elves won't be needed.i predict it will be rock solid once worked over so i'll give it a 10

i saw this guitar (on e-bay) sell for $40,000 simply because it was black and flawless.this guitar is well known by professional studios for its sustain and tone it is the perfect guitar if only it were lighter but the weight is worth the pain when you hear this baby played it is sweeeet.the original designer now makes a guitar called a vaccaro. lets not forget that mr kramer was part of the gibson team and made some sweet guitars in the late seventies.

One of the first Kramers, '76 made in New Jersey, USA. One Volume knob, one tone knob 2 single coil pickups with an od-school Kramer logo. Pickups are hot as hell. One three way pickup switch that is shaped like a torpedo. The body is koa wood and the fretboard is made from the same stuff that they make bowling balls from. Aluminum neck with koa wood on the back so your hands don't have to be in direct contact with cold aluminum. Freatboard is wide, like a classical guitar. Has 22 frets plus a zero fret. Aluminum nut. Grover tuners, but these are not original.
Not really a lot of features but what else do you really nead?

A very thick rich sound for single coils. This guitar has an attack that is fightening, you hit a string and feels like it hits you back. Sustain that won't quit. My style is very noisy, I use an MXR blue box, big muff distortion, Ibanez CF7 chorous through a Frender Pro 185 combo. This guitar is noise guitarist's dream, loud pickups, ear-pearcing high end, clear loud harmonics and the aluminum neck bounces all the sound right back into your amp. Amazing.

The action is very low. Intoation is perfect. I have never had to have this guitar adusted, aluminum neck = no truss rod. The pickups are set nice and high. The guy I bought it from said the orignal tuners were cheap and had to be replaced. None of the hardware has rusted and the finish has held up well.
This guitar weighs a ton and is poorly balanced, it's neck heavy so you'll need a strong left hand. The later models were a lot lighter and better balanced but do not have the same fierce tone

Everything on this guitar is very well made and still in great shape after 25 years. It is very tough and extremly dependable This guitar can withstand live playing, no problem. This guitar has seen a lot of abuse and still plays great. I bring a back-up to shows because it takes too long to replace strings because of the bridge design ( you have to keep tention on the strings when stinging the guitar or the balls will pop put of the bridge).

I've been playing for 8 years. I chose this guitar because I wanted to try an aluminum neck guitar and I can't afford a Travis Bean. I use a Fender Lead I for a backup. I have owned a Fender Jazzmaster, Telecaster, a Hamer and a Gibson SG. This guitar makes all the other ones I have oned seem over-rated and over-priced. This is the best guitar I have ever owned and I'd buy another one if anything ever happend to this one. This guitar was an excellent value. I don't know if I got steal or if these guitars are just undervalued on the collectors market because Kramer got a bad reputation for making so many krappy Korean guitars.

Sounds great through my Laney GC60C amp. It even sound good through my Marshall Practice Amp. Lots of Sustain. There is plenty of tonal variation (bright to well rounded) available through pickup selection and the functional tone control.

This is a quality guitar. The finish is still superb. The action is low and the frets are well shaped. The hardware is still superb.

This has been a good guitar. The only problem I have had with it has been the jack socket, which has been replaced. Bought it new in 1982 and in 1999, it had its first service: a fret polish was required and the action was adjusted. Not bad for 18 years. Tuning can be a problem when there is a sudden change in temperature ( the aluminium neck!), it goes sharp as it warms up. However once warm it is superb.
It looks a good as the day I bought it.

This guitar is undervalued, but not by me, I have tried many new guitars but have found them lacking. This performs well even with the tuning reservations. If you get chance to buy one: BUY IT. This is a quality guitar that surely must increase in value, you might enjoy playing it as well.

American made, aluminum neck beauty. Fork tuning head. Heavier than poopoo. Legend has it, that this guitar was designed by the guy that used to work on Travis Bean guitars. Koa wood with a stripe down the center. Absolutely beautiful.

Sounds great with any Marshall-type amp. Traynor amps work just fine. Hell, this thing sounds great through a $40.00 Sunn amp. Sustain for days. Warning: do not attempt to play this guitar unless you have balls! I think this guitar even has a balls-sensor; it will automatically shut down if it does not detect balls!

Purchased used, so I had to have a set-up done right away to adjust the action and clean up the scratchy pots. No problems after that. No flaws that I can think of.

This guitar will withstand the guitar thrashings of the heartiest head-banger. You can just hear that Chevy advertising jingle in your bong overloaded head, "Like a Rock!"

The Kramer company in the year 2000 makes mostly wussy-ish pointy headed pretty-boy hair-band guitars now. I wouldn't dare let this company touch my sacred 350G now, unless the entire company was placed in a time-machine back to the 70's. Don't go too far back though, or morlocs will be fixing your guitar, if you know what I'm saying.

I have been playing guitar since I don't know when. I play my 350G through Traynor 200W guitar amp. I'm wireless, absolutely no cables, dude. If it were stolen, I would scour the earth (not to mention any neighboring planets) for a replacement. Every ounce of this guitar serves a purpose; there is no fat on this guitar (unless you're talking about FFATT tone! Not phat tone, mind you.)

Aluminum neck w/ "tuning-fork" headstock. Clear finish 2-piece (mid-jointed seamlessly) Koa w/ naturally occurring light-grain stripe book-matched down middle, koa neck inserts, aluminum tuning-fork headstock, ebonloe fretboard, tunable flat-mount bridge, 2 Kramer logo-etched SC's, master vol and tone, aluminum 3-way switch

The sustain is, as always with the aluminum neck Kramers, amazing. Singlecoils (Kramer logo embossed, 1 bridge/1 neck; adjust via back allen-wrench screws)nail all the high tones without the "honk" of Fender-type singlecoils, and remain very hot to this day. Intonation is perfect, frets are very intact after much play, and the action is low, low, low.

Flawless finish after 23 years. Koa wood has amazing grain, and was obviously bookmatched at the seams and well selected. Action and intonation are perfect, as is the body design for standing or sitting.

23yrs and still flawless. Electronics are noise-free, and the pickups are very high-output and tone rich.

Own many guitars: early 70's Fenders, assorted Gibsons of many models, and a bunch of odd-ball guitars. Play through calss-A amps, and this guitar sings nicely. Great tone and sustain. Of my seven aluminum-neck guitars, this one is among the finest in playability and aesthetic. A quality vintage USA guitar, and grossly undervalued in todays market for the craftsmanship and sound......
