I Play really heavy music (Metal/Death/Industrial), through a Marshall AVT 150 rig using a Boss GT3 multi effects pedal. I have found this guitar amazing for the style I play! I was really surprised as I usually play Ibanez and Jackson 7 string guitars, but this Kramer kicks ass man. I had heard the pickups were a bit weedy but to be honest I have found the lack of overall output a joy, as I am able to plow more gain into them and still keep over all control of my tone. I was considering a change of pickup when I first bought the guitar but, I have decided to change nothing, the clean sounds from this guitar are awesome too!

The guitar was set up well when I bought it brand new, considering it was sat boxed, shelved and forgotten in a ware house for years! Apart from the pickups bieng laid down flat to the body, but with a tweak this was sorted. The action was nice and low and the neck is silky smooth and fast from 1st fret to 24th fret. The frets are nicely polished with no sharp edges. Solo's are a pleasure as the thru neck allows total upper fret access with no problems at all. The acoustic properties of this guitar are bright and loud, and in my opinion this is how you can tell a good guitar from a bad one before even playing it through an amp.

This guitar will definately stand up to live playing, the hardware is top class, the finish on my guitar is thick and well applied and the general feel of this guitar is bulletproof and totally reliable. I have replaced the strap buttons with Schaller strap locks, and I will be purchasing a Trem Setter for this guitar as this stops the brigde falling back if I break a string and the whole guitar going out of tune. I would not use this guitar without a back up, but then again I never play live without backup guitars (no matter what guitar I was using).

I have been playing 17 years, and I usually play 7 string guitars as most of our songs are in Drop 'A' tuning, with the occaisional one in 'B'. I am usually a 7 string addict, but I find myself constantly coming back to this guitar! If this guitar was stolen I would be extremely unhappy and would definately search out another without a second thought. My favourite feature is the through neck and resonance of this guitar, plus the addictive playability. The only thing I wish I could have apart from this model is a 7 string model, and then all my dreams would of come true!
I dont use the D-tuna, but with a trem setter I can see the advantage of such a system. Its just great that Kramer included this bit of kit to a guitar so packed with already top notch features!
This guitar is a unbelievable bargain for the price, Metal Heads dont be put off by the Glam Rock associated name on the headstock, buy this guitar and be happy, I am!!!

2 Quadrail pickups. Coil Spliter integrated in the tone control. 3 way pickup toggle. Cheesy Gotoh Jolly Rogers skull machine heads. Locking Tremelo. The neck-through construction add's to the sustain of this guitar. I have heard that the attachment of the wings to either side of the neck-through leaves alot to be desired, but this one is totally seamlessly integrated with no glue-in lines.

The Quadrails can be a bit muddy sounding depending on the amp and effects, but for the most part are acceptable, in both dual and single coil modes. I find that with the right EQ you can call up the prince of darkness with the bridge pickup. Not bad for a pickup you can buy off of ebay for 20 bucks all day long! I play everything from shred to jazz and this guitar covers the spectrum adequately for sound. I am very impressed.

I rescued this guitar from the dark corners of a gun pawn shop in Michigan. I got a helluva bargan as it wasn't playable. It was in terrible need of a set-up. The neck was horribly bowed, the action was totally hosed-up and buzzing. Needed strings and etc. Due to the affordable price tag, I took a chance on it. I took it to Elderly Music in E. Lansing and Stretch dialed in the setup perfect. Totally amazing. (Elderly is where the Pro's go) Advice: If you are having issues with your Kramer's set up, take it to an experienced luthier. It's worth the extra bucks to have it done right. I cannot believe how nice this guitar plays! I own several guitars, and I keep coming back to this one because of it's fretboard friendlyness. The finish is ok. This lump of coal cleaned up nicely and has a thick clear finish over a med-dark metallic blue.

I take care of my stuff, so to date, I have not had any issues with this guitar. It has been on several stages/gigs since being acquired, and I have full confidence it will not let me down. This is a road-worthy guitar. I have name brand axes that can't claim anymore sturdiness and road-worthiness than this Kramer.

I have been playing for 35 years and owned many guitars can say that this guitar is about the most universal instrument Ive owned. I have had SG's, 330's, V's, Jr's, LP's, and a Strat. If you can pick one these up for under $200.00. DO IT. Spend $50-75 on a pro set-up and live happily ever after!

It's a 2000 (maybe 99') made Korea Guitar. It has 24 Frets. Has a 3-way selector a volume and tone knob. Pickup configuration consist of 2 Humbuckers which are acctually doubble Humbuckers (Quadrails) and are passive thus not giving much sustaine. The neck is maple and the body Alder(exactly as Yngwie Malmsteens stratocaster guitars) with a Rosewood fretboard. The finish is metallica red but there are some other nice colors. The shop only had red so i bought red. It has a licensed Floyd Rose, which isn't "real" in any way. It's just licensed like all Ibanez and most Jackson's are with looking Gotoh skull formed tuners. The neck is elliptical and not as most strats V-Shaped. The main difference between this Baretta and the Striker is the Neck-thru and the pickup configuration. I got this guitar with a gig bag, and Ernie Ball (but changed it to an amazing Fender one) strap, some shitty cable (changed into a Roc-18 (about 50 dollars) but are some nice cables) but without a EVH-D Tuna. Not many features but enough!

Most say it's only a Distortion guitar. But that's not true, if you pull the knob and split the Quadrails into a normal Humbucker, put the tone on full, you get a very nice clean sound. Not a vintage strat and neither a bluesy Les Paul clean sound, but a standard clean sound which can be bluesd up with some Univibe or some reverb and Chorus. I changed my configuration now, and i'm using the guitar -> Roc-18 Cable -> Boss Me-33 (amazing) -> Made in U.S.A. Cable -> Peavey Bandit 112 with a Scorpio Speaker. I mostly play on the clean channel and let the Me-33 do everything, but I acctually use some of the reverb on the amp and cut some Mid's off and boost some Bass and Treble frequencies. I have to say, I get a good "normal" sound. I can get an impressive metal sound a la Iced Earth, a more or less comparable Jimi Hendrix sound (with wah wah), a nice blues sound (not great though) and a very good Van Halen sound. The clean sound is Good when i emulate a clean amp and emulate a single coil pickup with the Me-33. All in all I can play many different styles of music without changing guitar. The sound is a bit harsh which means you have to find a good setting to go on playing further on. The sound is also a bit muddy, so i always stay on full tone and play much with my eq's. Bright sound ? yes, can be made but don't expect wonders. I'm acctually planning in changing my pickups into some Evolution or some Dimarzion Steve's Special, or even some Seymour Duncan TB-4's. I don't know yet. Maybe i'll leave this guitar a metal guitar and get an EMG pickup, but i don't know yet. The sound is full in all means, it's not milky but crunshy but sometimes a bit weak. I hate that this guitar is a bit noisy (my amp too though) and that it sometimes gets a bit muddy. But it's a nice, not at all stereotype sound! The sustain is O.K. but could be much better. Maybe if i change pickup this will be corrected!

Well when i got the guitar, the action was alright. Right now it's messed up, because i've travelled alot with it, and changed several climate regions, from Greece to Belgium. The neck is deformed and I need to go and fix it. The pickups are ok at the moment, only that the neck pick always slides down after 2-3 days ! I hate that. I've experimented with my "Floyd Rose" and messed that up too and i've lost the tiny black parts for the strings, so i'm using the ball end in the floyd, and that's why i loose much sustain. The pickup selector is not noisy, but sometimes plays games on me ;-). I say the loose tuning pegs are not of a problem as it is a locking tremolo guitar. But the Finish is very nice and accurate, and the nut is very nicely cut! I give it a 7, but it should be a 7.5

Well to say, maybe it is only my guitar, but the strap buttons are not solid and i had to glue them. But i would play manoeuvres on this guitar, as i've lost control over it once or twice and the straps lost control. It should be fine for live playing though but if i had a seconde guitar, i would really bring it in too. The hardware though seems to last. I don't want to rate it as i haven't gigged with it!

Sorry but Kramer don't really exist. I would never depend on their Customer Support! Better get a technician and pay him than send this guitar to Korea or to Gibson/Epiphone!

Well an not too bad guitar. As it is my first electric and i've had it for more than 2 years i can say it's a good beginner guitar but should be good for a Semi-Professional too!
If you can, give this guitar a try, love it or leave it!
I loved it, but it's not really THE BEST in the world, but for the price it's a fine guitar! And remeber even Eddy Van Halen played with a Kramer !

I love the thin neck on this thing. I also love the reach with the 24 frets. The quad rail pickups are good too. I get great Zakk Wylde harmonics out of them. Your really able to fly around the fretboard with this guitar. It looks KILLER too!!

I play metal so it does it's job very well here. I like the quad rail pickups. They have great harmonic capabilities. I'm using a Digitech RP 5 through a Marshall JCM 900 4100 head and cab and it sounds SO METAL!!!!! Rich full sound. I'd like the pickups to be more close to the EMG 85's, but it still sounds super!!!

pickups needed a little adjusting when it arrived but the action was unbelievable!! I've played $3000 guitars that didn't play this well. The action was just terrific: low enough to shred but high enough to dig and bend those notes!!!! The finish was flawless!!

this guitar suits my music s
tyle very well. i play mostly heavey stuff from dokken to edward to creed. i am currently using a peavey envoy transtube with a zoom 505 MULTI EFFECTS PEDAL. on some of the higher gain settings it can get a little noisey but no more than my peavey wolfgang special. as far as sound goes, this thing is easily as thick as a les paul which i have also owned. beautiful sustain nice thick tone. as far as variety goes it really steers towards the heavey stuff you will have no problem coaxing heavey metal sounds from this guitar. there is not to much to dislike about this guitar. the construction of this thing is awesome for 300 dollars with shipping. it makes me sick that in the past i paid 650 for an ibanez RG 570. if you don't believe this statement feel free to purchase one of these barettas and then compare it to any thing you will find in the music store for 800 dollars. i still am in awe of this guitar. the only thing i will probably change down the road is the pickups. they sound good but i always change stock pickups out of guitars for dimarzio or seymour duncan.dislikes, not a good warranty only 30 days.

this guitar was set up pretty well from the factory. i made a few minor adjustments to the action and pickups. as far as any other flaws to hardware etc.. again compare this to any 800 dollar guitar from a music store. i am still looking for flaws and i'll be damned to find any.

i have been playing of and on for about 12 years. if stolen it would take me about a nano second to decide to replace it with the very same guitar. there is nothing to hate about this guitar in my opinion. i love that you can recieve this quality in a guitar for the money. like i said before this guitar rates very high i have seen and owned american made guitars for 3 time the money and they weren't any better. this thing as far as playability wise easily compares to my wolfgang special and most things are even better. in summary you would be foolish not to check one of these kramers out. they are top of the line guitars for a low low price.

I ordered a Metallic Blue Axe.It comes with two Humbucker pickups,Floyd Rose liscense tremelo unit, 24 fret thin neck thru model that feels very much like an Ibanez. Very good Metal guitar! Only reason I'm not giving it a 10 is the EVDtuners that I immediately remove.
