Custon ordered guitar kit from Ari at LA Guitar Factory. Made in 1998, 14" semi-hollow body, kind of a cross between a Tele and a Strat shape that they call a "Tela". Custom 1-13/16" nut width, 25-1/2" scale length neck. Ebony fingerboard, maple neck, mahogony body with a figured sycamore top. This body is completely hollow, except for a small wood block under the bridge (this was my idea, but Ari will make the body any way you want). Custom f-holes in top, one humbucker, Schaller roller bridge. Sperzel tuners on custom 3x3 peghead.

One of the best playing & sounding guitars I've had. Just played acoustically, it had a great tight focused sound. I set up this guitar with a GK-2A internal kit, so its sound is mostly determined by the Roland VG-8 I play with. But the signal starts with a great basic string sound.

Perfect. Ari is a perfectionist. The neck is DEAD flat (the way I like it). Ari used graphite rods in the neck to prevent it from warping even a hair...

I don't know how to answer this. Who would abuse a nice guitar?

Great. Ari is a great guy, and took pains to make sure I got what I wanted.

I've owned MANY pro quality guitars over the years. This is as good as the best of them in construction quality. I really liked that Ari worked with me to build a neck and body (kit) that I could then modify (custom electronics, etc) to get exactly what I wanted.
