Made in the good ole' USA! Only the 89th guitar ever made by Lace!! Strat style body in a beautiful cream color, 22 frets on a beautiful rosewoood neck, 5 position switch with 2 tone and one volume knob. I have the Lace Holy Grail pick up configuration. Tremolo bridge is smooth and stays in tune, sperzel tuners keep everything locked tight. I am more prone to a hard case, but it came with a VERY NICE padded bag. Eventhough, this guitar doesn't have TONS O' FEATURES I am very happy with the features it does have and LACE gives you enough pick up configurations to help you with the sound you are looking for.

Sound : 10
I play mostly alt.rock/blues/rock and this guitar hits all catagories with ease. The holy grails give you just what you need for any style of music, crunching when needed, mellow and rich, you name it. I have never been disappointed with the sound from this guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Having the 10.8 degree twist does take a bit getting used to. The thing is, if you didn't tell anybody about the neck they would notice a difference, but probably wouldn't pick it up right away. After owning this guitar for about 5 months, I just chalk it up to the feel of the guitar now. I never had a problem adjusting to playing, but I did feel the difference. (and it was a good difference)
The pick ups where adjusted fine from the factory, but I found the action to be a bit high for my liking. Once I lowered the action I then had to re-adjust the pick ups. This is more of a preference than anything else. The overall quality of the guitar was pretty damn good.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I would use this guitar day and night if it was my only one. If I don't give all my guitars/children some attention I start to feel bad I'm neglecting them. I bought this guitar sight unseen because there were no local dealers carrying them at the time. I am not disappointed at all! There is one small crack in the finish, but I bought the guitar that way. Being that I couldn't tell if that happened in shipping or not I'm going to give the guitar a 9, but that being said this is a solid performer that you can depend on.

Customer Support : 10
I have called Lace once or twice just to get the low down on this guitar and some of their other products. Since, I have had no need for any work on my guitar I can't say for sure on how they would handle a repair/warranty problem, but I can say this...they were excited to hear my feedback and thoughts on the guitar, wanted to know how I liked playing it, gave me string suggestions and even invited me down to the factory! When was the last time Fender, Gibson, Guild, etc. customer service did that for you?

Overall Rating : 9
I have been playing for about 12 years now, I own close to 15 guitars and this one ranks in my top 5. I would definetly be pissed if this guitar was stolen and work on replacing it with another Lace guitar. It has love its looks and comfort, I love the way it sounds and the versatility of the holy grail set up.
Guitar people don't like change and why should we? However, Lace guitars deserve a look! I think some people will need to get used to the feel of the neck. It is not a drastic difference, but give it a chance, before you know it is like playing any other guitar except it sounds better.
