Incredibly responsive, dynamic guitar, certainly my favorite including others ive played but not owned, even those costing much more. Good depth as well (loud for size!) and excellent bass response. Retains the natural resonance, what might be described as a 'woody' tone that some modern guitars, especially heavily glossed ones seem to lack. (This guitar has a satin finish.)
Action, Fit, & Finish

The guitar was set up well, but the action was slightly high. I sanded the saddle and tightened the truss rod and now all is very easy buzz free.
The construction, while being hand made is flawless with not a single drop of glue in site. I had a pearl inlay around the rosette specified and its incredibly flush with the top. Overall, fantastic workmanship.

very good so far. Its a light guitar so would'nt take a whole load of punishment but copes perfectly well with everyday use.

Superb, contacting the owner of Lakewood with 2-3 Questions prior to ordering and received curt, informative replies within days! Not too many companies around like Lakewood when it comes to customer support AND aftercare.
