This guitar is a Thinline-Model which means that it is not as deep as the regular classical guitar. The body has a depth of approx. 86mm, but becoming thinner closer to the neck. Also the neck is quite slim; about 47mm broad and not clumsy....The guitar was made 2001 in Finland, has a solid spruce top, back and sides are rosewood. It has the normal 650mm scale. And, it features the B-Band (No. 4 i believe) preamp system.
Very good so far, but when i played the guitar in the store i had problems with the input jack, there was always a cracking noise. The people there told me that the jack was kind of too short for the cable/plug, but this seems to happen to a lot of A/E-Guitars...

Suprisingly the pure acousitc sound is not weak, as you would expect from such a guitar. Not as loud and fat as a regular classical guitar, but still providing a great sound. Very transparent and quite brilliant...not boomy...but not too thin either, even a usable susatin. The feel on the Landola is a bit looser than on my Raimundo classical guitar; i think it has to do with the string tension. Anyway, maybe it is a bit lacking in the MIDS department (like around 500-600 HZ), so you don't have that aggressive or powerful tone, but it's ok....Because i haven't played it that much through an amp, i can not say too much about the premap. It sounded a bit hollow, but with a bit of knob tweaking it think you can dial in some nice mids.
All in all very nice, versatile sound....You can't expect more from such a guitar model, i think.

I you put aside the input jack, this is were the Landola (also) shines! Excellent craftsmanship, no flaws...The action was set very low (more like an electric guitar) but there isn't any buzzing. The tuning mechanics are very solid and smooth. The neck has a natural, woody feel to it, there is NO 1mm gloss or so; very nice...Plays like a dream!!

If you treat this guitar like it should be treated (it is no e-guitar that can be tossed around like crazy) i see no problems.

I come from a more Rock and Metal oriented background. But i always loved the sound and feel of classical guitars. Now, that i want to move into a more acousitc-jazzy direction i needed a guitar that's very versatile and has a good playability for a guy used to electric guitar (and with quite small hands, too).
Some guitars of that kind were to clumsy, others just sounded dead and flat. Having played several E/A-Guitars the Landola feeled the best and it also looked extremly good. Considering the measurements and the tonal possibilities, i think, you can not expect more. .......Great Guitar!
