This is a huge Landola J85 with a Fishman Prefix Battery preamp. According to serial number it was made in November, 2000. The top is solid spruce and the back and sides of body and the neck are Flamed Nordic-birch. The bridge and the fretboard are rosewood. It comes with Schaller M6 machineheads and bone saddle and nut. It features 22 frets and no cutaway, so the last ones are difficult to have access to. It is amazingly beautiful and the sound is awesome.

Sound : 10
It's been some years since I wanted to buy an acoustic to go with my couple of electric Gibsons. So I thought I'd get a Takamine since it was well-known and sounded OK to me. However, a guy at the music store told me that if I liked Jumbo bodies I should try a Landola. And I did. From that moment on, I only thought of getting the Landola. The bass frequencies of this guitar are amazing. However it still manages to get crisp treble tones at the same time. It's hard to describe but you'll know when you get the chance to lay your ear upon this one. The Fishman Prefix is good stuff also but what really impresses me is the Landola unplugged.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The action is quite low throughout the fretboard even though it gets a little high starting at the 10th fret or so. Nothing to complain about though. The matte finish even gives this guitar more spectacular looks in my opinion. It's a big baby so you may try to think about it before getting one but the tone is the thing here!

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
I just got it, but like most guitars, if you take care of it it will endure.

I have not dealt with them yet but they look serious on their website. There's lots of stuff there so only for that they deserve credit.

Overall Rating : 10
I have tried a good deal of acoustic guitars during the 10 years I have been playing, and even though one or two had better action and touch, I can honestly say that no sound beats the Landola sound. At least from those that I have tried: Fenders, Takamines, Ovations, etc. I only know that as I tried it for the first time I had to get one. I think I was lucky, I have not seen them around a lot in Spain. I'd like it to have a better method to put a strap on it but apart from that the rest is excellent. I even love the smell of this wood from Finland!! :)

This baby made is Finland with 22 my frets my friend. The has
the unfinished wood look and as my friend says on the d85(this is
J85 but looks sounds very similar)this blonde is a beaut! This baby
is big,its fact its huge, dreadnought body u need to have long arms to get ur arms around this blonde.Came with a huge case from the shop
good guys that they are!

Sound : 9
I play all sorts normal rock and indie and the sound blows you
away. Its so full and rich and with some decent strings on,elxirs maybe, sound even better!I don't play it through an amp,its plays
very loud unplugged.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
At first you look at it and u think its too big but thats the
beauty of it,big is beautiful. The wood is blonde and has this
green pattern around the edges, the fret markers are little crosses,
top quality. The guys set it up in the shop, the action is ok but
needs a little work and it will be there! Its still very easy to
play as the neck is kinda thin.

Reliability/Durability : 10
So far after 3 months, nothing to report.Ive recorded it thru a mic
for my band and it sounds greaaaaat.I would use for a gig unplugged definitely, its just sounds so good.I have bashed it a little bit,
it doesn't seem to mark too bad and it keeps coming back for more.
