This is a 2000 6-string classical with cutaway, hand-made by Del Langejans in Michigan. 12 frets to the body, 1 7/8 inch nut-width. The top is solid spruce, the back and sides are mahogany. There are no built-in electronics. The peg-head is not slotted, it is like a steel string, but with a cut-out in the center for stylistic reasons.

The sound is absolutely stunning! The volume is excellent, separation is very good, sensitivity is outstanding, as are overtones. Balance is excellent, with rich, complex basses, even mid-range, and nice, bright, complex trebles. One of the hardest things to find is a classical with nice bell-like trebles. This guitar has them! It is everything I was looking for, and I have played a lot of fine classical guitars up to the $8,000 range and this guitar is in that range of sound quality.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The action, fit, and finish are excellent. The only negative comment I have is that a few frets have slightly sharp edges.
Reliability/Durability

The guitar is very light, but well made, and I am confident that it would hold-up under touring conditions if properly cared for.

I had a question about this guitar before buying it used, and Del's assistant replied very promptly to my questions with thorough answers. I have no doubt that Del stands behind his instruments.

I have been playing for over 30 years and have owned some very nice guitars. THis one I could not live without. If it were stolen I would have to order another one from Del. My other guitars right now are a Gibson ES-175 (very nice flamey wood), a Martin 000-28 EC, and a baby Taylor.
