This note is in response to Alex W's comments about the case he recieved with his BT-60. I also had the same problem with my case
except that it was a flat top, old style case. I had the same problem
with having to shoehorn the headstock into the case. I worked with my
selling dealer, who in turn spoke to Larrivee about this issue. It took a while, but I received a replacement case and the BT-60 fits
in it perfectly. It is also the archtop style with the very nice blue
interior. There is a two inch gap between the top of the headstock and interior edge of the top of the case. I would recommend speaking
to your dealer, or calling Larrivee customer service.

Beautifully appointed, pre-war style slope-shouldered dreadnought. Baritone guitar, with 27" scale. Herringbone purfling. Solid rosewood back & sides, solid spruce top. 12-fret, slot-head neck. Open tuners. Overall, very understated and elegant. I give the guitar itself a rating of 10 on features.
The case I give a 9. It is a very tight fit to get the headstock in. This guitar has a longer scale and presumably a longer neck, but I swear they just use the case of a regular dreadnought and shoehorn the guitar into it. It's very odd. I own several high end acoustics and this is the first time I've ever encountered this sort of guitar-to-case fitment. That said, it is a beautiful case, lined with a decadent blue velvet interior. Very sexy.

Baritone, tuned C# to C# in stead of E to E. Also good for alternate tunings. Mine is currently tuned like open G except three half-steps lower. Sounds great. Deep, resonant sound, projects well. The presence of the guitar is sometimes lost on me until I switch to my Martin D-41 -- a fabulous guitar -- which always sounds very thin after playing the baritone. The BT-60 is a hard act to follow.
It sounds great in a duo with a regular acoustic guitar. You can find some vacant space in the tone spectrum and it really fills out the sound. Overall, the guitar sounds better when played fingerstyle or lightly strummed. IMO it kinda woofs out when you strum it too hard. I didn't like the sound of the factory strings, which were of the coated variety. Immediately switched them to non-coated.

Action is a little high. Otherwise fit and finish are superb. This is my second Larrivee purchase, the other an L-09. Woodwork is flawless.

I have played guitar since 1977. I bought my first Larrivee ten years ago, an L-09. Then, as now, Larrivee offered guitars that were comparable with guitars costing $1,000 to $2,000 more. I had been gassing for an acoustic baritone but they were almost all beyond my reach financially. The main choices were the SCGC Bob Brozman model, which sells for around $5,000, and a luthier-made custom instrument. Then there are the National tricone baritone resonator guitars. The Larrivee was much less expensive than the SCGC Bob Brozman model, and as far as I can tell they two guitars have identical specs. As I write this, it appears that Larrivee has already discontinued this model, which is a shame because it was the best bargain for an acoustic baritone.

Beautifull rich sound. Tuned C# to c#. Deep and resonant. Very long sustain and great note separation but doesn't break up when strummed hard.

Factory set up is perfect for me. Fit and finish are perfect in every respect.

Robust construction and very much a working musician's instrument despite its high-end appearance.

Been playing for 20 odd years. I will never play another guitar as my primary instrument. This one meets all of my needs and makes me seem a much better player than I am. I would recommend this to all guitarists. I will also never play a guitar that doesn't join at the 12th as this one does. The difference it makes to the sound is so lovely that no amount of easier access to upper frets is worth exchanging for it.
