This guitar was hand-built for me in 2009. It took approximately 12 weeks. The design is based on a Fender Jaguar HH, except the headstock has a strong Gibson Firebird influence and the neck has some very nice ES-335 style block inlays. The neck is also a full-scale, rather than the 3/4 scale that Fender Jaguar's normally have.
You really have to see this guitar for yourself, so I uploaded the pictures onto a forum post for you all to see:

The pickups are hand-wound by Bare Knuckle Pickups. (Nailbomb Humbucker Bridge and a Mississippi Queen P90 neck pickup). The Nailbomb pickup has a coil-tap, meaning I can turn it into a single-coil style pickup, giving more of a Fender tone from the flick of a switch (The treble boost switch has been assigned to do this task)
Body is made out of Alder, with a bolt-on neck, just like a normal Fender Jaguar.
All parts for this guitar are top-quality, including Gotoh machine-heads, Tune-O-Matic bridge etc. It's obvious that Bob hasn't cut any corners here - the quality of this guitar is brilliant.
I also got a hard-case to go with it. Nothing special, just ordered it from some online store. He found one that had the best fit and value for money.
So I'll conclude this section with a 10. A guitar that has all the exact features I wanted. Good stuff.
Sound

Best sounding guitar I've played on.
This guitar makes me 1969 Watkins Rapier sound dull in comparison. Which is a shame, because I'm going to be neglecting that ??500 guitar now haha.
I won't go into too much detail, because words can only go so far... You really need to hear this guitar in person.
The Nailbomb bridge sounds really good (sorry for lack of vocabulary). It gives a nice twangy sound, especially with the coil-tap switched on. The bottom E string has a slighter louder volume/ more powerful than the rest of the strings, which gives off some very satisfying results. I can't really think of a good way to describe the sound... I'm a musician, not a writer! I'm very pleased with the Nailbomb bridge and it's coil tap. It's definitely my favourite pickup.
The Mississippi Queen neck pickup is also great (again, sorry for lack of vocabulary). It sounds very very powerful under some nice distortion. It really does put my other electric guitar to shame. It can give a very nice warm, calm sound without the distortion of course - brilliant for relaxing songs such as "Hallelujah" etc.
My rig is a 120-Watt keyboard amp, hooked up via a Vox Tonelab SE. I'm spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing tones.
I've never bought Bare Knuckle Pickups before, and I have to say that I'm impressed. I was worried at first, that I was going to be paying a lot of money for a load of marketing-hype. They turned out to be very pleasing to my ears.
To conclude this section, I'm giving another 10 out of 10. I'm not over-exaggerating either. This really does deserve a 10.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The action is very low. If you very gently press your finger on a string, you can still pluck a long, clear note. This guitar is extremely easy to play on. I could play bar-chords for hours and hours and not feel any aches.
Reliability/Durability

I haven't had this guitar for too long... But I'm really confident it'll be reliable. Bob has been making guitars since the early 1980s - he knows his stuff.
I will probably not bother taking backup guitars to gigs. I get a good vibe of trust from this intstrument.
This guitar is flawless except for a tiny connection in the Rhythm plate that needed to be re-soldered. Bob paid for my train fare to go to his house to get the job done. It only took a few minutes and we both played on the guitar for a little while lol.
The reason for this fault can solely be blamed on the fact that European law now restricts the use of good quality solder that contains lead - for health and safety reasons. This means a sometimes a circuit can look perfect to the human eye, but might have a loose connection somewhere. This inevitably happens for not only guitars, but all circuits in general.

Bob Johnson is a very friendly and helpful man. He promptly replies to emails and is very polite on the phone. He will help you decide what you want exactly from your custom-made guitar.
I went to where he lives and collected the guitar myself. He even picked me up from the train station with his car. We had some nice conversations and he showed me a whole bunch of guitars he has been working on.
10 out of 10.

I've been playing guitar for 2 and a half years. I'm no newbie to the music-world though. I've been playing piano for 16 years and I really wanted a high-quality instrument. I play a Nord Stage 76 keyboard, and that set me back ??1800 and I love it to bits. Bob charged me ??1600 for this guitar (excluding the case). He could be charging way more. Most other luthiers quoted me ??2000-3000 for this guitar. There is no way I'm going to spend ??3000 on a guitar though, so I'm very happy I found Legra Guitars.
I love every aspect of this guitar (rightly so, since it is a custom made instrument to my exact needs and specifications)
