Bought one with a broken (separated from body) neck for $20.00. It's now repaired and converted to a Baritone-Uke. Love the shape. Sounds kinda banjoey but good. Love the solid wood top. Will be playing this one for a long time.

Since it was broken, I lowered the action during repairs. Fretwire seems flat on top, needs dressing. WIll replace nut as it's now 4 strings.

The finish is quite fine and seems very durable. No extra strap buttons.

Playing M-Dulcimers since 1983. Became a maker of Mountain Dulcimers then. Have been looking for one of these (Amigo's) for a while. If it gets lost, etc I'll look for another one for sure. May add pickups.

Half sized classical guitar, Nylon string, Solid spruce top, beech back and sides, satin finish, made in Romania in August of 1997. Set neck construction joining the body at the 12th fret. Not sure of the neck wood or fingerboard wood. Fingerboard is laminated to the neck and is painted black to look like Ebony. Frets are brass and scale length is 20.5 inches. Bridge is similar to the fingerboard, wood of some type painted to look like Ebony. Nut and bridge saddle are hard plastic. Tuners are standard classical 16:1 budget tuners and are actually smooth and hold tune well.
I bought this guitar in June of 1998 for $68 intending it to be used for camping trips and to help kill time on business trips. It has served me well putting up with much abusefrom myself and my 3 children.

It started out sounding kind of rigid with little sustain but after all it was only $68. It has since mellowed with age and gives a very decent, pleasing sound throughout the tonal range.

Action is fair. It is a bit high at the upper register but since it a short scale guitar the string tension is lighter and chords are still easily fretted. The tuners have always worked well and I have never messed with the bridge saddle or nut. Surprisingly the intonation is very good. the finish is still very good looking after 7 years.

While this is certainly no concert quality instrument it has been a faithful fireside companion for myself and a great learning guitar for my 3 children. It was purpose bought as a beater and has lived through all challenge so far

Half-size; nylon string; made in Romania; solid spuce top; laminated beech back and sides. As of 2002-09-05, a picture could be found here http://store5.yimg.com/I/apollosaxes_1696_2820864 (but that it is not where I bought it). I was looking for a small, cheap, easy to fret guitar for my 6 year old. This fits the bill fine. Hard to believe you can get a solid top for under $80! And that price included a chip-board case. I am rating this a high 8 for features because of the sold top. Not much else to say about a cheap little instrument. All of my ratings should take into consideration the low price.

Sounds ok to my untrained ears.

Action was fine which was important considering this guitar belongs to my 6 year old. Finish is fine, especially considering the price.

Just bought this guitar a few days ago so I have no idea on reliability/durability. My daughter is very protective of it though and always puts it back in its case when she is through, so hopefully it will last until she out-grows it.

Never dealt with the company. For this price I don't expect much support. If the thing falls to pieces in a few months, I will just chuck it. My local dealer was very helpful though in picking it out.

I am just starting to learn myself (on a Washburn D12SCE). When I practice, my daughter loves to listen and strum my guitar too. Then I offered her one of her own. This small (1/2 size), cheap, nylon string guitar fits the bill fine.
