Lucida Artista LG-715

Brand new 2004 Lucida Artista LG-715. Hand made in Spain. 19 frets.
This guitar has a solid cedar top. Beautiful inlaid rosette.
The sides, back and neck are Mahogonay. Nice wood body binding.
Classical/Spanish concert acoustic(nylon strings of course).
Lyre end, pearloid button tuners.
Ivoroid(?) nut and saddle.
Came with a nice Hardshell case.

The solid cedar top and mahogany sides make for a full, rich maybe even warm/dark sound. My classical instructor from the local university was extremely impressed with the sound quality from a guitar in this price range.

The action on this guitar is correct for classical style. I believe, but not for sure, 3/16" at the 12th(?) fret. I also trust my instructor on this detail seeing as I have never measured it myself.
I can say that it feels great. If you've never played a classical, the neck seems fat at first, but again this is correct for this style of guitar. Finish also excellent.

Classical guitars, in general, are very sensitive to tempature and humidity. I try to take good care of all my axes. This model is hand made and is of high quality construction. Y

I haven't dealt with the actual Lucida Artista people, they are in Spain. But, my dealer (surfcity music) has been fantastic. Even if you don't buy this model, they have a nice variety to choose from and I got a great deal(259.00 through ebay with hardshell case).

First I'd like to say that I think the other two revues of this product were too low even with 8's and 9's in there.I've been playing guitar for 20 years. I shopped for 3 months. I played Yamaha, Carlos Robelli, Ibanez, Fender(in the $200-$350 range) before I bought this model. It has been a fantastic guitar. Every experienced classical player, even my insructors(Maestro's no less) have been shocked when I told them what I payed for this guitar. And it came with a hardshell case!

It is a Spanish-made guitar, 19 Frets. It seems to be a solid top. The neck is made of Nato (?) wood, a type of mahognany. Unsure about the top, spruce? Also, the neck and headpiece are really, really classy looking. It is a lighter wood, with a laquered finish, and ends looking alright. The fretboard looks like you should put some wood oil in it, although I personally am afraid to.

It is a good classical guitar for a beginner. The tone is decent enough (more of a full sound than rich or bright), and has good volume, although it lacks in trebels. As can be expected.

The action is good. The tuners are not great, but suffice, I think, at least for me.

This seems built to last. I'll grant it that. We'll see over the next two years.

The intonation is not great. It can probably be adjusted, but for a serious player, you'd want it to. All in all, it is an excellent guitar for such a low price. The bridge is simply unattractive, but the purfling is well-designed and looks fine.

Acoustic classic guitar. Year: 2001? Spain, said to be handmade by seller, but not listed on tag. 19 Frets, unmarked. Said to be solid cedr top and mahogany back & sides - seems accurate. Lighter colored mahogany neck with rosewood frets and veneer at top. Strings mount on a black painted (beech?)wood that detracts from the overall look.
No name tuners that seem adequate. Cedar top shows flawed woodgrain and there is a lowspot in the clear varnished top.
No bag or case.

Very light weight (surprisingly so) but seems well built. Minor mismatch in decorative veneers. Probably just fine for controlled flaminco and at home playing

Bought on E-bay (from Arizona comemrcial retailer, $200), so no warantee or support attempted.

I am inexperienced. I also have a fat strat (Squier) and acoustic electric (Fender). Overall, I think this instument is an 8 , due to its fabulous sound - both rich and great volume. With [3] nylon strings it is especially easy on the fingers.
