Features : 10
Made in 1970 in Japan.21 nickel/siver frets, . I use a Shadow soundhole p/u. (passive) with a Martin pocket blender.Neck is a shallow "V" mahogany, and body is rosewood with a solid sitka spruce top.Finish is gloss laquer.Body is O.M.style.Abaloney is used for fretboard dots, purfling and stripe down back. peghead is rosewood with goldleaf "LYLE" at top.Frets are medium nickelsilver. It has a hardshell case, and I have always used a humidifier. The stap is custom made buckskin.

Sound : 10
I play with the Oregon Old Time Fiddlers and other cowboy bands not much country/western, and also America,Eagles,Alabama etc.And some swing .And my Brother and my own selfstyled "hickjazz".I use a new Fender 160 watt Aquisasonic sfx stereo amp and a b-band active p/u/ The tonal quality is superb and balanced w/o the boominess of a dreadnotwith brigt clear trebles and no midrange honk.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Original fit and finish were exellent and action was good.Top is fine grained and perfectly matched as is the back and sides. Bridge is belly style and nicley done rosewood, it had ebony string pins originally. There is no fuzz on the scalloped braces and all are secure.no glue drops or lumps are anywhere.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Iv'e drug it in the p/u truck all over this great Northwest to many live gigs, and six years ago it began to wimp out.( would't stay in tune, intonation was off etc.)The finish is very durable and it still looks nice. I did a full fretmill and polish, replaced nut and saddle with tusk and added the B-Band p/u, re-strung with Tomastic-Infeld Plecrums 11-48's and it came to life better than ever. The bottom pin is Tusk and solid. I use a quick-discnnect neck tie that is comfortable and easy to take off and put on.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had any major problems, any others I am competent and confident enough to tackle and have done so with very good results.

Overall Rating : 10
Iv'e played for 52 years(I'm 57) I also own and play an Fender bluegrass banjo, a Kentucky mandolin, a Wiesenborn slide guitar, a Fender Fat Strat' a yamaha sg style, a 1933 Epiphone Emperor, a Tacoma Paposse'a Takamine 12 string, and a beautifully made and wondefully rich sounding Chinese fiddle. I'd love to have a Nady wireless outfit for my fiddle. I'd appriciate any coments on the amps that use a soundboard rather than speakers. Thank You,
