This is a really nice, rather small 20 fret accoustic. I bought it new in 1970 for 125 bucks and it's been around the world with me, back when I was in the Navy and later when on business. Flat spruce top with a mahogany neck. Througout all the traveling, it has endured many nicks and scratches but this guitar just keeps on ticking. The rather flimsy case that came with it has been duct taped beyond recognition, but it still works. It seems the finish through the years has evolved into a very nice patina...darker than when I first purchased it. Not sure why, but it still is a nice looking instrument.

The sound has always been a sweet, bright sound. I usually play country, Eagles, Beatles, Waits, etc, so I'm not really bending strings too much. It seems to hold it's own in that department.

This piece has had no adjustments at all. Only maintenance is to change strings and wipe down with a slightly oily cloth. It has the word Madeira in a mother of pearl font at the top. That is the most intricate element of the whole guitar.

As said before, this guitar has been through lots and lots of travel. It has held up fantastic! I would certainly use it on a gig with no apprehension at all. Everything is still solid and I still enjoy playing this guitar with my children....hope they keep the tradition going!

I honestly didn't know much about guitars at the time of purchase. It just seemed to fit me right. I'm not a real big guy and it looked about my size. Since then I've bought and own a few more guitars. Electric and accoustic.I even made a cigar box guitar too! I love them all, but I still end up going back to this one. Nice guitar if you can find one.

Loved the sweetness of the sound of this guitar and its slender body. I am a female singer/songwriter and it fit me well. It is incredibly durable, and in excellent condition after about 30 years!!! Just gave it to my brother today, and he is thrilled to have it after all these years.
