I've had mine for about 5 years now. I bought it used on e-bay having been impressed with it's sound at the local music store. It's a no-frills guitar except for the quality of the Fishman electronics. Unlike my other Martin the DC16GTE Fishman equalizer allows you to mix between mic and piezo, mono and sterio, and various feedback and contouring settings.

Sound : 10
This guitar has a very clean rich sound unplugged. Plugged in, it sounds absolutely beautiful. Mine came with Elixer strings but regular strings sound even better.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The workmanship on this guitar is excellent. The narrow neck and action make it easy to play. In seven years nothing has gone wrong.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Because of its satin finish and thin wood this is not the kind of guitar you would want to take with you on a trip down the Amazon but mine yet to get its first blemmish. The electronic have performed flawlessly.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Martin takes a certain amount of care educating their customers so as to prevent problems but I haven't had to contact them.

Overall Rating : 10
I really like this guitar, especially when hooked up to a sweet sounding amplifier. You can pick one up used for about $850. If Tayor guitars were equiped with Fishman elctronics I might spring the extra $400 to by a used model 414dc.

Features are bare, but that's what I like!

Sound : 10
Awsome low end, consistant throughout!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Low for a Martin, very surprised, but satisfied with the action; no adjustment is needed suprisingly straight from the factory too.

Reliability/Durability : 9
A little worried about the satin finish being marred, but as long as it is taken care of, no worries.

Customer Support : 9
I have used them before, and overall they answer all of your questions, but I have not had any serious issues yet.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for 21 yrs and have owned several MArtins, Taylors, Takaminies, and really love this guitar. For the price, especially with electronics, I think it is a keeper for sure the sound will only get better. If it were lost or stolen, ZI would look for another, it is affordable. I love that it is a plain jane, no frills, less apt to be stolen too because of it. I love the Mahogany the best, it makes the guitar ring.

If you are considering one of these, you will not be disappointed as they are alot of guitar for the money.
