I just purchased a Zager-modified Martin Sigma Rosewood DR41 Acoustic guitar. This is the easiest playing guitarI've ever had in my hands. This guitar was set up by master guitar luthier Denny Zager from Zager & Evans. If you've ever had the pleasure of playing one of his custom guitars you know what I'm talking about. I've played Martins, Ovations, Taylors, and also some of the best from Fender and Gibson and they played easy, but not the full rich sound and ease of changing chords like this guitar.

Sound : 10
It has the full, rich sound of guitars costing thousands of dollars.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
This guitar is set up perfectly for my small hands. The finish is superb. The instrument was discounted because of some flaw in the wood finish, but I can't find it. It is an exquisite instrument.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Since I recently purchased it, I can't answer for it's durability, but it appears very sturdy and I certainly don't plan to carry backup on any gigs. The finish is so rich, it looks like you could stick your finger in it, almost.

Customer Support : 10
I purchased it from the Zager Company and was extremely well pleased with the personal service of the company. Emails were answered promptly and in depth. The guitar has a lifetime warranty!

Overall Rating : 9
I've been playing for about 30 years and this is the most beautiful guitar I have ever owned. I have a couple other Martins, but they can't compare to this Zager-Martin.

I have 3 more guitars 1 five string banjo, i mandolin 1 fiddle 1 dobro, and I would definitely buy another one i f something happened to this one. I like the action and the looks real well.I have been playing since I was 12 and I'm 62 now. Over the years I've played Gibson, Martin, Fender, Alverez, and this one will play with any af them. Affordable for a beginner and plays well enough for a veteran player.
