Features : 9
AA solid spruce top, solid blackwood back and sides,AP5 pickup,Limited edition #21 of 50 etc etc the satin finish on mine is perfect no complaints there.
Comes with a very nice Maton deluxe case too.
Pretty much identical to the Mton EA80 Australian model except cosmetically and the Carlisle has a blackwood neck where the EA80 has a maple neck.

Sound : 10
The sound from this guitar rivals Martins and Taylors that retail for twice as much it has an awesome rich tone and excellent clarity for anything from hard strumming to fingerpicking this guitar sounds awesome.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
I cannot fault anything with the action, fit and finish its beautiful and didn't need any adjusting/tinkering with after I bought it.

Reliability/Durability : 9
This guitar is built to last I don't forsee an problems with it either.

Customer Support : No Opinion
12 months warranty, never had to deal with them.

Overall Rating : 9
Been playing for 12 years only other guitar I have is a Gibson Les Paul so this is my first acoustic and is good enough I wouldn't need to buy another acoustic but I have a bad case of GAS(guitar acquisition syndrome)so it will have to get along with my future purchases.
If it was stolen I'd probably cry for 2 weeks straight then go buy an EA80 Maton as there are only a few Carlisle's left floating around now being a limited edition and all.
Overall a bloody nice guitar its exactly what I was looking for and for the price its a steal(compared to Martin,Taylor etc).

Features : 9
All solid timber, with blackwood back and sides, spruce top. Standard dreadnought configuration, with no cutaway, despite being fitted with an AP5 pickup. Very minimal satin finish, which can leave the top very susceptible to damage from previous Maton experience. Gold Grover tuners, came with Maton hard case

Sound : 8
Sounds very very pleasant unplugged, and awesome through my Laney A1, with minimal effects applied. This guitar is my return to dreadnoughts after some playing with auditoriums and jumbos, and has confirmed that I always want to have at least one dreadnought in my guitar lineup. I'm still amazed that most local Aussie guitar shops only stock dreadnoughts, no choice geberally available

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
Guitar seems well built, as it should at this price level. It feels solid and has no visible finish flaws. Action is reasonably low, without the fret buzz problems I've encountered on other recent Matons

Reliability/Durability : 7
Because of the vulnerability of the soft spruce top, I won't take this instrument to performances, my Tanglewood TW45-DLX-FPP has a nice durable gloss finish, and is more expendable. Some people think that a few scars add character to a guitar, but I prefer to live without them if possible

Customer Support : 9
Previous problems with Matons have been thoroughly investigated and remedied, with the area representative phoning me personally with feedback.

Overall Rating : 8
I've been playing for over 30 years, other guitars are a Seagull S12+, Yamaha classical, Ayers auditorium, Tanglewood as mentioned above, and a Larrivee L-09 (just bought),
