Mine is a mid late 70's era les paul standard copy made in japan, It is a set neck sanwiched mahogany with a 1/4 of an inch 2/piece maple cap, that is very beautiful and this a cherry sunburst, The neck is a slim taperd 60 stlye neck. Very heavy guitar and is a very rare model. I have seen the 3 piece maple set neck les paul copy with block inlays which is a hybrid between a custom and a standard les paul. It has the open book headstock and the memphis ogo in mother of pearl, The has nice grain paters and the over all finish and bindin has aged well. Very nice guitar and very rare, DO NOT confuse these with the cheap bolt on plywood versions that are korean made, those are junk, The set necks were mid range to hogh end japanese copies. Over all, A very nice les paul standard copy with all the bells and whistle of a gibson,
Sound
:

The sound of this baby is sweet and warm,The sandwhiched body which was typical of the 70's era is 2 inches thick, Very acoustic sounding when not plugged in, very resonant.I get great rock tones and jazz tones in the neck position, I use this with my rare Tube Works Provalve 60T all tube amp which has 2 6L6 Power tubes in the power section and has 1 -12ax7 in the pre amp, and I can easily get ac/dc to led zep tones,
Action, Fit, & Finish

Action is set very low to the frets and plays like a dream, It had some tarnish on the frets form being as ol as it is, so i took 3 differnt grades fine of wet sanding paper and finish it off with a fine 0000 stell wool and wow!!! the frets look show dam shiny it reflects light light crazy, I would suggest not to try the sanding unless you know what your doing, Wet sanding can be tricky but it does the job with out ruining the frets, it takes off the nasty layer of tarnish safely.
Reliability/Durability

very reliable, heavy and is a tank as is every goos as a high overpriced gibson i am going to rip you off les paul.Think....What do corporate companies strive for? PROFITS!!PROFITS!!!PROFITS!!!. Look at the junk gibson makes know, There stuff from the 50-60-70- early 80's was the best stuff, Now, they over charge you a guitar that will more likely have the broken neck syndrome.Every gibson that is a project I see on ebay is a broken headstock in the same recurring spots, hell. They dont even use the volutes in the back of the neck anymore.
Customer Support
:
No Opinion
There is no support, the company has been long gone. And info is hard to come by and there id no seriel numbers to dtermine only if you have memphis catalog to determine. These guitars were distributed by C.Bruno and son of Conneticut. These were japanese imported guitars and served as a house brand guitar.
