late 70s? early 80s? memhis guitar, its a double cutaway, looks kinda like a gibson melody maker. 24 fret neck, 2 railed HBs, 3 way switch, 2 volume 2 tone, tuneomatic bridge, thick bolt on neck. its bare varnished wood, it looks great, its a bolt on neck but its made to look like a neck through. brass nut and saddles. built in the famous matsumoku factory in japan!! (has absolutely nothing to do with gibson, as some have said)

sounds absolutely incredible!! pickups are smoking hot, great warm heavy tone, sounds like a Gibson. sustain is great, great range of sound, unfortunately the neck on mine is bent because someone left it in a closet with strings for years...decades, who knows how long. so the higher frets buz but thats just mine in particular, it still sounds great and plays very well
Action, Fit, & Finish

cant say anything about the setup, everythings been adjusted. but the quality of the materials and the construction is outstanding. matsumoku guitars are known for their quality (ie. univox, aria, teisco, ibanez...)

this guitar is a beast! its the type of guitar that would make a good weapon against zombies and live to play gigs for years after! i wouldnt depend on any one guitar for a gig, but if i had to this would be the one. the finish is like a 16th of an inch thick so no worrys there. hardware is all nice quality.

i havent been playing long, buit i have been for long enough to recognize a great guitar, this is by far the best guitar ive ever owned, beats out any guitar ive played. i have a few other guitars (ibanez rg170, an unidentified japanese 335 copy with a epi sharidon PU, home built awesome guitar :P ) none of them come close to the tone, sustain, general awesomeness of this guitar. i would buy another in a heartbeat.
