Handbuilt in Germany in 2001. Les Paul style body shape with a little more flair, not exact. Two volume controls, one tone. Volume control for bridge pup is located where volume swells are easy. Two custom Lindy Fralin Humbuckers with special nickel/silver covers made in Germany. Solid mahogany body with Goldtop finish slighly aged as is the hardware. ABR-1 bridge. Gotoh Kluson tuners. The headstock is laminated with Ebony and the tuners are arranged so the strings go down straight thru the nut.

Different styles with a Diezel amp. This guitar sounds the closest to an old Paul that I've ever played. I compared it to the reissue Gibsons and while they are a very good guitar this Morgaine is in a whole other league. Very clear for humbuckers but still thick and fat. Clean tones actually sound very good.

The neck is slightly smaller than my friends 58 reissue. Perfect for me. The g string slot was cut a tad low so my tech raised it slightly. The aged goldtop looks great. The guitar also weighs less than the reissues I compared it to.

Its been a long time since I've been so jazzed about a guitar I bought. I wanted a Les Paul that really moved me but I don't have $25000. I bought a reissue a few years back and sold it later. It wouldn't stay in tune and didn't sound good clean. The Morgaine stays in tune and sounds great clean or dirty. This along with my 55 Tele are my favorites. I think Joerg Tandler the man behind Morgaine does great work.
