1973 usa. 22 frets plus zero fret. solid carved top with black red burst and matching burst neck and headstock. Two original mosrite humbuckers with coil taps. volume and tone per pickup. three way selector. mosrite bridge/tailpeice assembley missing arm. Full scale neck super thin with teeny weeny frets. this is the guitar that bankrupted mosrite (the first time). I've heard that the V2 is supposed to mean "ventures2" but he could not write "ventures" because because their deal had expired. This is deffinitley the next evolution of the original ventures models adding much more tonal flexibility and humbucking to an already generous feature set.

This is the most versatile of all mosrite designs in my opinion. The coil taps are the key allowing you to switch between humbucking and single coil sounds in either position. awsome sustain and great thwacking attack!

This is a real mosrite not some asian garage shop special so she plays like butter. never knew a guitar could play this low without the frets buzzing and i've played thousands /set up hundreds. it really boggles the mind and makes you keep running up and down the neck looking for buzzing 'cause you just can't believe it really is that low and still plays. normally skinny necks make my hand tire quickly not this one, you don't even have to touch the back of the neck when you bar it's that effortless. some tummy contours would have been nice, but you can't have it all.

I would not gig this guitar with or without a backup it's just to cool.
