Mine is a '66 with the tress rod down by the body. Mine had been refinished, but it looks really good. It has a Mosely tremolo, but stays in tune pretty well. Classic thin Mosrite neck, only slightly wider that the 6 string version. I have to agree with the other reviewer, this is the best 12 string eletric ever.

This guitar sounds beautiful. The warm, loud Mosrite pickups are perfect for the sound I need. I play this in a Nick Cave & The BAd Seeds sounding band. I can get it warm and fulll or jangly and brights. Lots of range in tone. The pots could stand to be cleaned, the Volume pot is pretty scratchy right now, but aside from that, not too noisy.

I bought this on Ebay from a shop that had had it sitting somewhere for awhile. the strings were rusted, its was dusty as hell, needed a set up, and a general cleaning and polishing. Structurally it was in fine shape except for one tuner that's a bit loose. It was stripped and finished with clear coat, so it is its natural wood grain right now. The refinish looks good and the wood finish is cool looking. The action is quick as can be and the guitar plays beautifully. Now that's Ive cleaned it up it looks great, but when I got it it was a mess. The rating reflects the condition I recieved it in. It was pretty cheap though. $650 USD.

This thing is built like a tank. Its the only 12 string I have, so I always gig without a backup. The only problems I've had are the loose tuner and a scratchy volume pot and those are easy to fix. It's the most dependable guitar I own.

Semi Mosely is long gone. I bought this off a used guitar shop on Ebay. The communication was quick and easy. I got the guitar in 3 days and I got a great deal despite the fact that it wasn't in the best shape. He made that known in the auction.

I love this guitar and I would be heartbroken if it were lost or stolen. I also imagine I'd have a hard time finding a deal like that again, although surprisingly the 12 strings don't go for as much as the 6 strings of the same era despite the fact the these are more rare. I believe they only made them from '66-'68. Best 12 string ever.

'66 Mosrite solid body 12 String electric with most of the standard Mosrite "features" (yeah, right!) such as too-low frets, overwound pick-ups, mocrodot fret markers, impossible to access truss rod (even though this one is at the headstock), backwards cutaway, grover tuners, they gave it a bit wider neck than the 6 string Mosrites to accommodate for the 12 strings. While I list the usual Mosrite faults, I have to say that the Mosrite XII is the best 12-string electric I have owned and I've had a few including Ric and Danelectro models.

It has the great sounding Mosrite pick-ups that produce a very nice jingle jangle.

It's built very well. The guitar was made in '66 and it is clear that it has withstood some brutal playing. The action is very low yet without buzz. Some of the fretboard is well worn but that's actually good when dealing with low frets.

CHicago Music Exchange's only goal was to make me happy. They did. I do think they rated the shape of the guitar a bit higher calling it an 8 out of 10 when I would have called 7 out of 10.

I think the Mosrite Ventures XII is the best 12-string made. I'm not that crazy about my Mosrite 6 strings.
