Manufactured in August of 2007 as a custom order for a guy in St Louis. The strat is a mirror image of the olympic white strat used at woodstock. When I say mirror I mean it's backwards in every way. Tone and Volume controls turn backwards and the pickups are reverse wound from what they should be. Bill Nash really went the extra mile with this relic by making an "age difference" between the "original" strap buttons and the one that was "added" to flip the guitar over. This has got to be one of the nicest guitars I have ever played. The music store that had this had stratocasters from the 50's to present and also had a custom shop relic hanging right next to this one and I can honestly say the Nash strat is as good if not better than any of those guitars.

This strat has a 5 way selector switch and gives you every strat sound you would exect to have. The second tone control is wired to the bridge pickup and the first tone controls neck and middle. This is a very warm and round sounding instrument. Great highs and great lows. It weighs 8.1 pounds which is very comfortable for me and has an amazing amount of sustain even when it is not plugged into an amp.

I was amazed at how precisely the neck meets the body. I can't slide a piece of paper into the joint. Everything about the setup was impeccable. I can't imagine the master builders doing this any better than Nash does it. This guitar has a light relic to it. A nick here, a ding there, the hardware looks amazing, and the finish has the most beautiful checking job I have ever seen in a "relic" instrument. Very authentic looking.

This guitar is built like the way people describe Fender guitars... "built like a tank." Not a rattle, loose piece, questionable spot anywhere on the guitar. Except for the possibility of breaking a string I would think nothing of taking it to a show without a backup.

I bought this guitar from Killer Vintage Guitars in St. Louis, MO. I never dealt with Bill Nash directly but the Killer Vintage guys are great, and they swear by Bill Nash's reliability. That is probably why they are selling Nash Guitars to people like Keith Richards, Brad Paisley, Steve Winwood, the Black Crowes and so on. These guys aren't having their road managers go to the shop to buy these guitars... they go there to shop themselves!

I have been playing for 17 years and have owned most of the major brands. I traded in a 20 year old strat that was my pride and joy to get this guitar. What can I say? It plays that much better than any Fender I have ever owned or played. The action is as good as any Gibson. You will never believe how great they are unless you put one into your hands. Be warned though. you pick it up, you may not put it down.
