It's a Lake ?lacid Blue strat with a rosewood board, c-neck, vintage style tuners, a nitro finish, a five way switch, 6105 frets (my favorite),a tremelo, and a reverse wound middle pickup (to make the middle/bridge and middle/neck posicitions humbucking). Pretty standard stuff. If "coolness" was a feature, It would get an 11.

I can't explain to you how good this thing sounds. I have two other main electrics. A clapton strat (without that stupid TBX circuit... i gutted it and put in Lindy Fralin Blues specials), and a PRS custom 22. My Clapton is more of a modern stat... a little darker with stronger pickups. This guitar serves as my more vintage sounding strat with slightly weaker, more scooped, brighter pickups and a rosewood board. This has quickly become my main guitar. It's so articulate. It forces me to play better.
I have a Bogner Shiva and your basic pedal setup plus a vibe pedal. This guitar is a deity through that amp. I just can't describe to you how happy I am that I bought this guitar.

First off, I dig the relic thing... but I guess the finish could be debatable. If you like the relic, it Looks fantastic. I got the Louisiana Roadhouse relic in Lake Placid Blue. The relic job is perfect... right down to the difference in color of the different plastic parts. It also has the matching headstok option, which I'm not particularly wild about but is done very well.
The real reason why this thing gets a 10 is because it plays better than either my custom shop strat or my PRS combined... and they play very well. This is the best playing strat I have ever played. Period. Real 60's strats included. Andersons, Suhrs, Grosch's included. I didnt even set it up. It came from the factory Dead-Freakinig-On. This is the thing that Nash does better than anybody. Even more so than the relicing.
Ths thing is a "Fender custom shop killer". The store I bought it at was reluctant to carry them because they knew they wouldn't be able to sell the Fender Custom Shop with these on the wall. Better player, half the price of a comparable model.

I haven't had it long enough to tell you, but it uses the finest parts. It's also put together very well.

Haven't had a problem yet. That said, it is a strat. Any competent guitar repair guy can fix it. It's pretty straight forward.

Best. Star. Ever. I am ecstatic that I got this guitar. Before I knew about Nash, I was planning on spending twice the money on a "bigger name" strat. I practice more. I play better. I have more fun at gigs. It's just one of those things that makes life a little sweeter. if you want one. Buy it. I'm going to buy a nash tk-54 or t-63 the day i get the money to do so. I'm already thinkin about what color it's going to be.

Alder body, c- shaped neck, med-jumbo frets, nitro finish in beautiful lake placid blue, 21 frets, rosewood board,9.75 radius, medium relic, callaham hardware, I'm giving it a 10 b/c it has the features a strat is supposed to have.

The guitar came stock with Lollar pickups that are specially wound for Bill Nash. I don't know the specs on these pickups, but they sounded very good. If I had to guess, I would say they are similar to his vintage blonde set. While I liked the Lollars, I swapped them out for a set of O.C. Duff Traditionals(my all time favorites!) and now this guitar is perfect, IMHO.With the Lollars, the sound was very woody and a little darker than my other strats. With the Duffs, the guitar is very spanky and sparkley. Both great sounds, just different, and I prefer the Duffs. The guitar is very loud and full sounding when played unplugged. My primary amp is an Allen Accomplice, and the Nash strat sounds wonderful with it.

I bought the guitar used, so I can't comment on the factory set up. The guitar is incredibly easy to play. The reliced neck is quite comfortable. The fret work and nut seem top notch. The wiring and soldering is very neat. This is my first relic guitar, and I'm no expert when it comes to guitar finishes, but all I can say is that this guitar just looks cool as hell. The lake placid blue color combined with the mint green pickguard give this guitar the appearance of having a glow to it. It is a beautiful guitar.

It's a relatively new guitar to me, so I can't really comment on it's reliability. It appears very well made, and I anticipate owning it for many years.

I bought it from the Guitar Attic in Florida, and they were cool. Haven't dealt with Bill Nash, so "No Opinion"

I've been playing for over 20 years. I play mainly strats and own a 57 reissue thin skin, a 62 reissue, and a nice american series strat. I play through an Allen Accomplice, a 67 Pro Reverb and a '71 Vibrolux. The Nash Strat is my current # 1. I hate to put down my other guitars, because I love 'em, but the Nash is so much easier to play and sounds so much better.

Bill Nash is a small builder up in Olympia Washington that builds knock offs of Fender relics. These are strats and teles that are made to look, and feel like they???ve been played on for 40+ years. Mine has an alder body of medium weight finished in fiesta red. The neck is rosewood in a medium C shape, with 22 expertly dressed medium frets. The pickups are Lollars, I???m not sure which model but they sound super sweet with excellent balance from position to position. Controls are standard Stratocaster volume, tone, tone and 5 way switch. The guitars come standard with a gig bag, I put mine in a Fender case.

This guitar sounds FANTASTIC! The Lollar pickups sound great in all positions, and sound good clean or distorted. I???ve played it through my Dr. Z Carmen Ghia and my ???69 Marshall small box 50 watt head and the guitar sounds like a great strat should. If you crave ???traditional??? or ???vintage??? strat tones, this guitar delivers in spades.

The guitar plays and feels fricking fantastic! My first thought when I opened the gig bag was ???Uh oh, what have I gotten myself into???? I???m not into this relic thing, and frankly the finish looks kinda funky, but then I picked the guitar up and played it and couldn???t put it down. This guitar just feels right, like an old friend. Normally I tend to like taller frets, but this guitar feels so darn good with the medium frets I may just be changing my tune. The nut is a work of art, with low action at the nut and very smooth bends with no binding whatsoever.
So if I like the guitar so much, why did I rate this category so low? Well the finish sucks. I???m not na??ve enough to think that a relic finish is harder to apply than a good finish ??? it isn???t and it shows. If you people out there think that these relics start out as nice finishes and then are reliced, you need to wake up and smell the coffee. It???s very evident that this finish was haphazardly applied knowing full well that is was going to be beat up so that it just doesn???t matter. Plenty of orange peeling, and overspray in the neck pocket. It looks nothing like the early ???80s Fender RI I had that was also Fiesta red and reliced by years of playing. People are caught up in some romantic notion that a beat up guitar has more mojo or vibe or something. Just look at all the relic hack jobs on eBay, and the stupid amount of money people are willing the pay for them and you???ll know where I???m coming from.

It's a strat. There are 50 year old strats out there still going strong. This guitar was put together very well and should last for years and years. The fiish is already fu@#ed up so I don't need to wory about it! I'd gig without a backup.

Bill can be a little hard to get a hold of, and his answers are helpful but terse. But then I know he gets alot of questions about current guitars that his dealers have for sale as well as the used ones that come up for sale on ebay. I wish he would include a little more information in the spec sheet so that I would be easier to determine if the guitar has the fetures one is looking for.

I love the guitar more each time I play it. I just wish it had a nice finish! Is there someone building strat and tele knock offs of this quality with a decent finish that doesn't cost what a Callaham or DeTemple costs?
