2007 Bill Nash T 52,USA, Butterscotch blonde, medium relic,Medium weight Ash body, fat maple neck, Lollar Special tele pickups, 10" Radius maple Fretboard, medium jumbo frets. Soft Nash case.
I have played lots of real 50's Blackguard tele's; I am also old enough to remember when they were relatively cheap compared to now;I always prefered the proffesionally modded old black guards, mods like 'modern' pickup switching and bigger polished frets, slightly worn original nitro finishes. My Nash brilliantly embodies all the things I want in a new/replaceable guitar at a bargain price compared with a Fender Masterbuilt guitar.
I am very pleased with this guitar.
Brilliant work Bill, well done.

Firstly let me say that I love guitars, and have played all sorts over the years in attempts at just about every style.
For me the tele is the most versatile electric guitar, everyone has played them.
My Nash covers me from clean through dirty to assault weapon.
The Lollar special pickups are a revelation to me,(they are my new favourites; I now understand the hype!). The pickups are surprisingly very quiet through my rig of various old valve amps and a THD Bivalve. The lollars also react wonderfully well with the volume and tone pots; I'm guessing Roy Buchanan would have loved these pickups.

I ordered and bought the guitar from the very pleasant and helpful George at Transam Guitars in the UK without ever playing it. It arrived beautifully setup, I played it until my hands told me to stop! You could have used it live straight out of the case.
The neck has a wonderful worn in feel with a great fret job.
Tele's are like zippo's, a great timeless and fundamental design; beautiful either beat up or gold plated. This is an inspirational copy of an iconic guitar, it plays and sounds wonderful. Not fancy furniture but still a worry free minor work of art.
I am very, very pleased with the guitar.

It is an indestructable Ash tele with a straight grained baseball bat of a neck. As tough as board nail sandwich.

I have never dealt with the company and do not foresee any problems, see above.
It would however be nice to compliment Bill Nash on this great guitar.

I am 44 years old and have been playing for 30 years or thereabouts.
I have played countless wonderful guitars.
I have sold of most of the stuff that I was no longer using. The electric guitars I will be concentrating on for the foreseeable future are the Nash and a Tyler SE.
Amps come and go, then return and sometimes stay, you all know how it is.
I love the Nash, it has already got alot of mojo in it. As a great new relic'ed guitar you know it will get even better with age, the Ash and nitro will dry out even more and harden, and plenty of my DNA gets worked into the neck.
Would be heartbroken to lose her; I would have to buy another of Bill's baby's.

Although the neck has quite a lot of fret wear and the saddle and tone controls appear oxidized and rusted these things have no impact on the guitar's functionality. It was set up perfectly for me right out of the box. The fit and finish outclass or rival any of my other guitars from the major manufacturers. It's a lot quieter (less noise) than some of my other guitars. The finish is evenly worn from the back of the neck and has such a nice feel I don't know if I would buy another guitar that hasn't had this treatment.

I own many classic guitars and vintage amplifiers and effects. Have been playing for over 20 years. I am so impressed with this guitar that I plan to purchase an S series and J series in the very near future. I live in Toronto where there are only 2 stores that carry Nash guitars and if you are not literally at the store when the UPS truck shows up you won't get one! I was considering attaching a spagetti logo to the head of the guitar but I have decided to leave it blank because I appreciate it for what it is.
I tried a dozen or more similar guitars in the store and this one beat the shit out of all of them for tone and feel . .. . oh and then there's the price! This is what a guitar should cost! Why are huge manufacturers who crank out thousands of guitars a day asking for double what these things cost?

Mine is a good example of a blackguard. Other than that- Lollar special pickups. Heavy relic which I find myself admiring frequently. It came with a case that's not really worth mentioning.

What sounds great to me may not to you so one has to regard this catagory with a somewhat critical eye. For what it's worth, this guitar makes some sounds that I've been looking for for years and didn't even realize it. To my ear I love what it does.

It took a little doing on my part to get the setup just exactly the way I wanted- which is the same as with pretty much every guitar I've owned since I became knowledgeable about these things. Surprisingly it's set up differently than what I normally like. The thing I like most about it is that I've only owned it a few weeks and it already feels like an old friend in my hands. Maybe Bill's real skill was in giving it a little magic.

I've never owned a tele before although I've owned plenty really nice guitars over the years. One of the things i like about this guitar and have admired about the tele design is that it pretty much takes care of itself. It's not a finicky design or guitar in particular. I pick it up and it sounds good, it's comfy, and I don't have to worry about it like I do with other guitars in my collection.

I had a couple questions about the guitar, emailed Bill, and got answers back in a few days. He tried and succeeded in being helpful. Customer service- fine.

I'm 38 and I've been playing almost 25 years now. I've had some pretty nice guitars over the years- fender, gibson, alembic, etc. What i like about this one is that it's so easy to own- which I attribute to both Leo's original design and Bill's handiwork on this particular one. Sure it was made from parts. I don't care- it's got some magic in it too. It sounds glorious with my '65 super reverb. I reach for it all the time to practice with. It caught my five year old son's interst so he and I share it and play it together, which makes it worth it all by itself. It plays easily enough where he can fret some notes on his own. In addition, late night slow blues are just flat out fun to play with it and when I'm done I can leave it on the carpet next to the couch (can't do that with the alembic ). Slide guitar is fun again for the first time in years. It sounds great when I play with other people. It's the least expensive guitar I own yet it's the one I reach for the most and it's the only one that after all these years feels the way in my hands that a great old pair of shoes feel on my feet. This guitar and the super reverb are the best money I've spent in my entire playing career. I've written a few reviews of various products over the years and the tens in this review are the one's that I'm the most proud of giving.

This is Bill Nash's take on a Broadcaster type tele. Very plain, VERY accuraterepro, with Lollar pickups. Moderate V to the neck, not the fatback. An unreal guitar in every way. RElic job is great, not just for looks but even more for the way it feels. Lite body, super reasonant.

I use this guitar through a reissue Deluxe Reverb with a tube screamer. It's bad ass, period.
I'm getting one his strats now. Not sure how other folks could be disappointed with his stuff, as every single person that's played mine not only loves it but WANTS it. It sounds awesome, stays in tune, looks cool and plays great. I thought it was a great value.

This Tele sounded just "OK." Was very underwhelmed with the tone (or lack there of) of this "kit" feeling guitar. I've owned Fender CS Tele's in the past and this guitar couldn't hold a candle to ANY of them.

Would DEFINITELY NOT buy again. I bought paint. A painfull experience and a waste of money. The pretty pictures look great on the internet... If I HAD to buy again I would order a rosewood neck as the aging on the maple looked very sub-par. Of course, I would not buy again.
Want a Custom Shop Tele for ALOT less? Keep looking. You get what you pay for here. A "kit" guitar with a fancy relic job that feels like a put together guitar.
Yuck!

Here's what I want to stress, I paid alot of money for this guitar $1499.+shipping (purchased on Ebay)I wanted a Relic 52 Tele I looked at this on ebay and bought it. I had read all the reviews , here on Harmony Central, and even Tonequest Magazine, all raves, so I went for it. The guitar ships in a cheesey gig bag which is what Nash supplies, you would think for this price some kind of hard case would be provided. The workmanship was okay, not with the level of the Fender Custom Shop. The Relicing was not as good as I expected, Maybe his earlier guitars were better. Did it play well?yes, Did it sound good? Yes .Did it fit in my Fender Custom Shop Reissue Thermometer Case ? NO ! I contacted Bill Nash, and to his credit he did reply. I asked him if his guitars were supposed to be vintage specs? He answered, not necessarily, and that I should not be upset that my gutar would not fit in it's intended case. Well , I was upset, I had passed up a Fender Nocaster Relic for this guitar, and the quality was nowhere near as good. Luckily I was able to "flip it " on ebay, and I only lost shipping.
Here is what I want to get across to other people who may be looking at these, these are high priced PARTS GUITARS,! nothing more. The Bodies and necks you can get at Allparts, are truer to vintage specs than these. A Fender guitar will always be worth something in the future,a parts guitar perhaps not

I Play blues, R&B,and funk. This guitar is great for the styles of music I play. The vibe and tone of a vintage 50's tele with subtle modern features to inhance the guitars playablity. The guitar rings like a bell acoustically thus transferring this sweet tone when amlified. Bridge pickup is hot (over 8k) and has a really nice mid-range punch. The neck is only around (6.5k) thus giving a nice woody tone on it's own and when combined with the bridge has that unmistakable tele quack.
I play through a variety of vintage fender amps ie. super reverb, vibrolux reverb, princeton reverb and a 65 ampeg reverberocket. This guitar sounds amazing with all my amps.

Guitar was set up by Dan Erewine, with 10-46's and fairly low action. I changed it for my style of playing with 11-48's backed off the truss rod a quarter turn to get a little relief on the very straight neck. A very minor adjustment.
Neck joint was very tight fitting and the finish on the guitar is lightly reliced. (This is a timewarp guitar!) Hardware was aged giving this a very authentic 50's fender vibe.
This guitar has absolutely no issues.

I have been playing for 35 years and this is definately the best tele I have played. This guitar replaces a 2000 52'american vintage reissue with a thick plastic coated body (nitro) I don't think so. I also sold a 72 tele that could not hold a candle to this one.
If this guitar were lost or stolen I would definately replace it.

Handmade from premium parts in the USA. Ash body, one piece maple neck soft v back. Standard Tele type bridge and electronics. Duncan Hot pickup in bridge Rio Grande Tallboy in neck. kluson type tuners. I give it an 8 because it's just a tele, not a lot of features to it, I think only a Les Paul jr has less (No pun intended)

I play many different styles and have put this guitar thru everything from a Superchamp, a Supro Thunderbolt to a Marshall 100 watt half stack. Sounded great with the Duncan but i put in a Lollar 52 special tele pickup. I would put this combo up against any other Tele by anyone. I have a completly stock 65 Fender that was the best Tele I've played until this one.

This guitar was reliced so it does contain flaws, ITS SUPPOSED TO! The set up was perfect! How many guitars have you got at some national dealer, spent over a grand on and then had to "Have it set up". Not so here, palyed like a dream right out of the case.

It is my opinion that he builds way better guitars for less money. Huh ? (Economics 101). As someone else said "Bill Nash doesn't build guitars to sell them....He sells them so he can build them "
