Traditional Tele style guitar, white finish, made in Korea 2004?. It boasts an alder body with a hard rock maple neck and a 21-fret curly maple fretboard. The neck is finished in a smooth oil finish, this is a newer model upgraded with a string through body and precision sealed tuners. 2 Single coil Pickups, based on the fact that this is a Tele, it has all the Tele features it should rate a 10 however, the body is a tad thinner than the traditional Telecaster. Light yes, however a Tele has a THICK body and this should be thick as well. The bridge is technically not a Tele bridge at all. However the chrome is good, it?s well made and it adjusts for all the axis needed so I give it a 9.

Sound : 10
Nice Tele ?twang? clean, with the usual single coil noise. Surprising tonality from such no name pickups, this guitar is sure to please the hardcore Tele aficionado or newbie. I own a Fender Princeton 65 and a Behringer GX 110 and it sounds great through both. Tele guitar, Tele twang, based on that fact it?s a 10

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Nice touch arriving not only set up but IN TUNE! Action is low but not too low, I adjusted the B and E strings just a tad lower. But hey that?s a personal preference, not a criticism. Neck pocket is tight, real tight, and the finish is superb. I like the headstock, it?s definitely a plus when you are a Tele fanatic like I am. The headstock is similar to a real Tele, not exact, but close and sweet. The neck is where this fine instrument excels. The finish gives the neck a nice playability. No friction from the finish at all. Very similar to a Wolfgang the neck has an ?old time quality feel?. However, there is one small finish flaw in the back and there are some slight, ever so slight imperfections under the paint that can be seen when held at an angle to the light. So it rates a 9

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
I can measure the time I have owned this in hours, not a good basis for measuring durability. Then again I treat my guitars with TLC and generally play with my toys well. As far as reliability, looking at the quality of the components, the attention given to the assembly. I think that if one would take care of this guitar well, it would last a lifetime. But that is purely speculation based on what I see, feel, and my 34+ years of playing guitar.

Customer Support : 10
Based on the fact that I purchased it online Thursday at around 7pm, and it arrived Saturday with the afternoon mail, a 10. Replies to my e-mails were prompt and courteous. I don?t think that I?ll need them, but it?s nice to know you are dealing with professionals.

Overall Rating : 10
Price, performance, and perfection, all those looking for their first electric look no further. This is a well-built guitar, with good features, for an excellent price. Mexican Telecasters are $350 give or take. I own one, this is just as good, if not better than the original that it?s supposed to copy. I could have bought 2 Nelsonics for the price of one Mexican Telecaster. The slight imperfections, the ?non-standard bridge? is the only criticisms that I have about this fine instrument. I presently own an Ovation, Dean, D'agostino, Fender, Ibanez 12 string, Seagull and 3 Dillions. This is a great buy I highly recommend.

The one i got, is supposedly a prototype model, supposedly only 25 were made. it has a mahogany body, with a quilt maple top, adnd a cream colored binding on the top, and a fake f-hole as well. maple neck, which is very stright, pearloid pickguard, amber finish, no string through body, but still good, knockoff grover tuners (actually just as good as the real ones). and evertything else is just your basic tele

Sound : 8
the sound was really good, but still a little thin as comared to some other vintage tele's ive played, so i got a set of emg's for free, and threw them in. and now it sounds great, the original pickuops sounded better than most mexican or korean fender teles that ive played.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
As for the emg pickups, They didnt quite fit as good as if it were a fender, the bridge screwholes were off, and the neck hole was too snug, so i just kinda threw them in there half-assed,(theres no screws holding the neck p/u in, thats how tight the hole was..lol.. When i got it, the action was good, a little higher than i wanted it but thats just a personal preferance. So i adjusted the height, and the neck buzzed in a couple spots. The buzzes are all better now. All i had to do was break the neck in. Remember tho, this is a prototype, so its not going to be perfect. i still would rate it a 10 however, because i got it for such a low price, and i was really overwhelmed with the quality. the neck now plays fast as ever, and it sounds amazing. the body doesnt seem to be as thick as a real fender tele, but its every bit as resonant, and even heavier

Reliability/Durability : 10
i havent had any problems at all with this guitar. other than the initial break in, and the pickups not fitting. those are really not serious problems anyway.its really held up quite well, as i tend to mistreat guitars, and theres not a scratch on this one somehow.

Customer Support : 5
i havent dealt with the company at all but they seem to be pretty straight-forward

im 18 years old now, and i have been playing since i was about 8 years old. i have a collection of about 10 or so guitars. nothing really specail, but this is considered one of my top 3. i have a jackson performer i think its a ps-4 model, not sure, i got it for $50 so i really didnt care..lol, I also have a custom built fender strat, which is a strat plus body, mexican neck, fat 50's pickups, fender tuners, mint green pickguard.. and of course the graph-tech saddles. i also have an epiphone lp-extreme, and a couple charvel's. my amp is a crate bv-60 head into a crate 412xs cabinet. i got the amp for like 75, cus it had a blown resistor, so it cost me about $2 to fix, and it sounds amazing with jj el34s I play alot of differetn styles, I would consider myself a mix between eddie van halen, and jimmy page, i play alot of blues, and a lot of metal. i also do some neo classical stuff. like i said i have been playing for 10 years, and i dont forsee myself stopping any time soon, I also dont forsee myelf not using this guitar any time soon. I was very skeptical on the quality of the guitar before i recieved it. and to be honest, teh only reason i bought it was because the fake f-hole..lol. but now that i have it, and it is all worn in, i love it. i have it set up, and intonated for drop D tuning, and it stays there. never goes out of tune, and its a breeze to play, the neck is very very comfortable. I havent played the production model of this gutiar, but i hope its every bit as good as this one. I do plan on buying a produciton model tele copy sometime in the future, to use as a standard tuned guitar.

Alder body, maple neck, standard telecaster.

Sound : No Opinion
Good sound on bridge, neck weak. No noise.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
Intonation is good. Very good finish for cheap guitar. Frets feel like barbed wire. They didn't finish the sharp points off the bevels.

Reliability/Durability : 8
Hardward all looks okay. Doesn't look like the same chrome quality on Fenders. It could be a backup, but without new pups I would use it as a main.

Customer Support : 9
Good email response. Good quick delivery.

Overall Rating : 8
Been playing off and on for 35 yrs. Have a LP, Am Strat, Am DX Telecaster, and an ES335. I bought this to work on as a project. I like the guitar over all, but the frets have to be fixed. If I were to play this all the time I probably would develop callouses where I never had them before. It's not really fair to compare this guitar to the others I have, they all cost so much more. Give it an eight overall due to its good price to quality ratio.

Features : 7
Korean made, probably 2001-02, 21 frets, standard Tele setup, ecxept the string-through-bridge setup.

Sound : 8
I play a broad variety of rock styles, from punk to country to pop. The tele style fits everything, and can get a really broad range of tones. Sounds good clean and with OD (Peavey C30 and an MXR dist+). The tone control doesn't seem to do a lot except at the extremes. The middle of the turn is a very small range.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
It was set-up quite well (esp. considering the price) and played great right out of the box. The low E string saddle slipped some after awhile, but this guitar has seen a lot of action (played a LOT and dropped a couple times while I was moving).

Reliability/Durability : 8
The electronics have crapped out a bit, sounds like a loose connection on the bridge pickup, but like I said, this baby has seen some abuse. I play every day and it's knocked into drums (and drummers) mic stands, amps, walls, you name it. I'm sure a soldering iron and 5 minutes would solve the problem.

Customer Support : No Opinion
dunno. I emailed about a new model coming out, and didn't get a response for some time, but it seems like a 2-3 man operation, tops. Very friendly, however.

Overall Rating : 9
I love this guitar all in all. my only (small) complaint is that it's not shaped exactly like a Fender tele, so the new pickguard I bought didn't line up perfectly. For $100, you can't beat it. I recommend it.
If it were stolen, I'd probably save up for a Fender MIJ Tele Custom, but this is a great, cheap way to try out a tele.

First - way to many 9s and 10s in these reveiws regardless of the guitar. Hey, an 8 is still very good.

Ok- The model i got was a proto type that never made it to market. A TELE KNOCK OFF WITH A AMBER QUILT MAPLE TOP ON AN ALDER BODY. Lots of weight to this guitar. A phoney painted on f hole; not quite painted in the right spot ( f hole is fitting here). Standard tele equipment. Binding on front. Not a string through body model. they went into holes at the end of the bridge plate.

Sound : 9
Very quiet pickups for single coils. Nice sound - does not need a pick up replacement. Bridge is hotter and cuts through nicely. A lot of usable sounds from this guitar. Handles over drive and distortion. Bottom line this guitar sounds really good.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 5
The action was too low. It took some time to get it right but once set up - plays nicely. Even with the adjustments the action is still low. Neck is thin and easy to play.

Nicely book matched quilted amber top. bold pattern. shame about that friggin f hole.

Sharp fret ends. I had to file them down. not a hard job but it arrive difficult ( ouch ) to play.

The selector switch- this was a blessing in disguise. The original 3 way switch got noisey and tempermental after a few months. I replaced it with a four way tele switch.

This is a great upgrade!

Position 1- bright & hot bridge.

Position two- both pickups in parallel. Nice Vintage sound. Great for Chord work.

Position 3- Blues and jazzy neck.

Position 4- both pick ups in series. Big volume boost. More bite and aggresive tone.

I really like having these four options. flip the switch - 1 or 4 give you a nice lead boost. Flip it back - 2 or 4 get you back in the mix.

Reliability/Durability : 7
Had the guitar for over a year. It has survived the back seat of cars, jam sessions, kids playing it. Fairly sturdy instrument.

It is a bolt on like all tele copies. The maple neck is easy to play but it does not seem that stiff to me. Opinion, no problems with the neck.

Tuners are no name but sealed and work fine.

Saddles are different due to it not being through body construction. They can be adjusted for intonation. they seem a bit flimsy though and may be difficult to replace.

Customer Support : 7
You can contact Nelsonic by email and they will eventually get back to you. I don't think there is a phone number to call.

Overall Rating : 8
I have been playing for 9 years.

I own quite a few guitars. Gibsons to various knock offs. I play for my own enjoyment ( sanity time) and jam with friends.

I feel i have a very good ear for tone. This guitar's strong point is a sweet , sweet sound. Add the four position switch and it can handle quite a range of sounds.

It did require some work but given the price paid - it is still a very good value.

If i lost it- yes i would get another Nelsonic. It plays well and has that tele tone and vibe.

Typical Tele features, you know em, you love em. No string thru bridge (B000), and 6 individual saddles OK.

Sound : 10
I bought this guitar on ebay from a guy and paid $86.00 plus shipping. I gotta say, this thing is pretty cool. Overall I give it high marks and recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap Tele clone. The only thing I didn't like about it is the flat fretboard radius. I prefer a more vintage Fender neck but that is not a criticism of the guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
It plays great and the finish is comparable to a $500.00 level guitar.

This Nelsonic is simple. Its a tele copy. no string-thru body unfortunately. inexpensive parts . Tuners, bridge all Indonesian.P robably made in 2002 and it`s well simple. Black gloss finish no binbing white pickguard. there you go.

Sound : 10
Well friends it sounds damn good and no noise. What`s that worth?
I use mostly a Fender Princeton 65 and the two are a good match. I like chicken pickin` when I play teles so this one let`s me do it. more variety of tone than I expected and it sounds usable for other styles like blues. Not overly bright and I like that cause people`s ears hurt and that`s bad. So I try not to be bad as I Steve Gaines `um

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I guess these people were techs cause it`s set up right! No flaws I can see. I`m 20/20.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
I dont know I havent dropped `um yet.

Customer Support : 9
Company seems really cool and thats special in this paper-mache push your finger thru and there`s nothing inside world we live in. They want me to know they are there for me. Unlike Fender and Gibson and all that bs.

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing 22 years and guitaring has kept me alive. Have owned Fenders `69 tele /crap, mexican made/allright, squires/better value yet the name missing I guess lowers the price. Gibson les pauls old and new/heavy wont stay in bloody tune. One did have a nice tobacco sunburst. Can`t dance with `um so bye bye. Ibanez `70s Lawsuit hummingbird and dove. Even better than the real thing and you can feed whole hamlets with the savings. Peavey, marshall<Fender amps/varies. If stolen I hope they tell their musical friends to steal more. I`d buy it again. I guess I really am seeing the truth.

Bought the guitar in 2002 not sure when it was made..probably 2001.
21 frets, 2 sigle coil pickups
Nelsonic TLC300 Tele copy
body is basswood..neck and fingerboard maple
nice black finish..tune-o-matic bridge, sealed tuners (seem O.K.)
No accessories included.

Sound : 10
I love tele's...so the Nelsonic fit the bill..it sounds like a quality Tele...no kidding..great wood tone..rich sound and sweet gentle twang...the pick-ups are very good..neck position has a nice bluesy tone middle setting very sweet, bridge setting nice and bright. The guitar has nice sustain.
So far i only have likes and no dislikes..best guitar out there for $119.95..truly plays like 3-4 hundred dollar guitar

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The guitar was set up very well at the factory..
In fact when it came in the mail, I took it out of the box and plugged it in and it was still in tune..Intonation was good..action low enough..pick up height seemed fine
There was a small flaw on the neck.. not bad though

Reliability/Durability : 9
The guitar seems well built and i have no reason to believe it won't holdup. It is as well built as any tele i've played.
Seems solid overall..
I never play without a back-up..that would be unwise.
I have gigged with it and it is great...sounds great..sweet wood tones!!

Customer Support : No Opinion
The people at Nelsonic are very responsive to Email..I think if i had a problem they would go out of the way to help.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for over 30 years. I have owned Gibsons,Ibenez,Hagstrom, ovations (two), guild, harmony,Takamine,
Alvarez, Johnson and a couple of no name guitars over the years.
This Nelsonic is a very good guitar. It plays well, and sounds very good. I play it through a Digitech RP200 effects box sometimes through an amp sometimes through a P.A. sytem. I love the fact that it sounds as good as any fender tele i have ever played..including a vintage 1958 I played for a while..no baloney it sounds very authentic. It seems foolish to plop down hundreds more for a name brand when this one has wonderful depth and tone. for the money this guitar is a 10

This is a telecaster copy sold by a Milwaukee company named Nelsonic. 2 single coils, 21 frets, standard tele features, curly maple fretboard, rock maple neck, unknown wood for body. Possibly made in Korea?

Sound : 7
It sound like a telecaster is supposed to sound, like a boat oar with strings on it. As far as qual;ity goes it seems on par with the Mexican Fender teles, but probably not as good as the American ones, but for a new $100 guitar it is more than adequate. The pickups actua;lly seem like they have a bit more punch than the cheaper Fender pickups. The guitar sounds pretty good both on a Fender prosonic and on an old Gibson Hawk amp, especially through the reverb.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
The guitar seems pretty well put together. The electronics work well without extra noise, and the fretboard feels good. A pretty solid guitar for the price.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
Brand new, no idea. Seems like it will last though. Decent construction.

Customer Support : No Opinion
The communicated well when i bought it from them through ebay and shipped it quickly.

Good value for what you pay. Compares with other telecaster copies that cost $150 more.

I believe this guitar was made in Korea, in 2001. It is 21 jumbo frets, solid top, has one volume, one tone control, 3 way selector switch, two single coil pickups, one at the neck and the other at the bridge. Not sure what kind of wood it is made of, but I think it is much to heavy to be plywood, more than likely agathis. Satin finish, telecaster body style with tele style bridge, single cutaway. It has great locking tuners, with a Maple neck. Does not come with a gig bag.

Sound : 10
I've been playin for 35 years, and my style is somewhere between Keith Richard and Steve Earle, so this guitar fits my style perfectly. I'm using mostly a Crate 25 watt amp. There is absolutely no noise from this guitar. No fret buzz, or anything. Great, rich full sound. Suitable for anything from country to heavy metal. I love this guitar. Absolutely awesome. I have had many telecasters over the years and when it came down to selling a guitar, I let my fender standard telecaster go and kept this one. It sounds better. The pickups are much hotter. Nelsonics has done an excellent job on this one.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
It came professionally setup. Didn't have to do a thing but take it out of the box and tune it up. Pickups were adjusted perfectly. Bridge adjusted properly. No flaws at all.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I've already gigged with this guitar three times a week for the month and a half that I have owned it. It stands up great. Like I said, I let my Fender tele go and kept this one. It is a solid guitar. The hardware will last as will the finish. Strap buttons are great and I would depend on it for any gig. You don't need a backup with this one. Only reason I ever take a backup (my Les Paul) is in case I break a string. I also have an Epiphone Les Paul 100, but this is my main axe now.

Customer Support : 10
I bought this guitar off of ebay and the person who represents Nelsonics on ebay has always been helpful. I believe there is a lifetime warranty with the guitar, but to be honest, haven't paid any attention to it.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for 35 years. I also own an Epiphone Les Paul, LP 100, Takamine Acoustic Electric and a Takamine GS 330 Acoustic. I jusst sold my Fender Standard Telecaster. I have no doubts about this guitar and feel like I asked all the right questions before I bought it. If this guitar were lost or stolen I would bust my butt to get another one. I love the way this guitar sounds and the ease of playing it. The neck is absolutely fabulous. There is nothing I hate about this guitar. Awesome guitar, awesome price. Beats the heck out of any Squier or any other Tele Copy you will run across. Beats the heck out of the Fender Standard Tele. I can't believe that this guitar sells on the website for like $115.00. It is well worth $300.00.
