Solid spruce top, laminated cherry wood back and sides, solid maple bolton neck (that's a features on 70's Norman), 1977. Dreadnought with satin finish. Rosewood bridge and bridge pins. Norman OHC. Very basic features but it's an acoustic after all!!!

Sound : 8
I'm looking for a seveties Norman for around two years. This one is a closet classic. The guitar sound very good. I'm surprise with the bass on that guitar. They sound very good. The overall sounds it's what I'm looking for. Warm, good bass, not to trebly, very balance. Something really different than my Norman ST40 (cedar top, mahogany back and sides).

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The guy that sold me this guitar own 2 Gitane (Selmer copy) and 2 jazz archtop. He really takes care of his guitar. The guitar was perfect except the strings are a bit old and flat.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Ok it'a 30 years old guitar. Do I have to say more than that?

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never deal with the company.

Overall Rating : 8
Good guitar, good workhorse. Not flashy, vintage, very well aged, solid wood, great sounds and good setup. Can I be more happy?

Made in quebec in the seventies. 22 frets. Bought in Saskatoon in the early eighties. Lived under the bed without strings for many years. Serial number 2038.

Sound : 9
A beautiful outdoor guitar. The low end is strong enough to carry and the high end is crisp and clear. A little bit of ring in the middle strings. Suits whatever I seem to be playing be it double picked acoustic metal or folk. Very versatile.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Bought used, with one tuning peg replaced. Had to replace entire peg set as gears were made with plastic and ate themselves up. Finish has a few cracks, but is resistant to punishment.

Reliability/Durability : 10
It was once pronounced dead by a luthier after it came out from under the bed, but after a bit of time and a tune up it sounds great. Wear under the sound hole from constant playing and wear on the neck from fingering it for the last twenty odd years. A couple of dings from the occasional door, but has stood up well to heavy use and lots of travel. This is the guitar I would want with me on a desert island. It has never let me down, especially live.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never used it. Sad to see nothing on the Manufacturers website about the entire Norman line.

Overall Rating : 9
This guitar is my rock. It has always sounded great and it sounds better as it ages. I`ve bought and sold every other guitar that I have owned because they have to live up to this one. It is a tough act to follow.

Serial number 2036...so probably one of the first B30 out of factory. All original, except for one tuning peg which was replaced some time ago. I have had the instrument for only a short time, but this one certainly a keeper... Simple, effective, solid as a trestle

Sound : 8
Full tone, very rich in the bottom end of the tone spectrum, while maintaining a very distinctive maplesque flavour in the higher register. Very powerful instrument.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Over 35 years old, and hasn t moved to much. Seems quite tight (in sound and feel).Action is good, but was most probably adjusted in the past (but not since I had it)

Reliability/Durability : 10
Cant ask for anything better, will withstand use and abuse and more

Customer Support : No Opinion
Dont know.

Overall Rating : 9
A great deal, one that you won t part with, even in the hardest times.

I bought it from my brother-in-law back in 1982. He had it for about a year.It has 22 frets and is blond in color. It is an acoustic but was fitted with a barcus berry bridge pick-up. The finish is a satin finish with a maple neck and roswood fingerboard.

Sound : 10
This is the sweetest sounding acoustic I have heard. I have played Martins, Taylors, Gibsons, etc. But this still beats them. This is not just my opinion but many other players. Including diehards owners of the others mentioned. It does sound best acoustic but some of this is due to the type pick-up.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The action and everything about this guitar is top notch. It is well crafted in every aspect. It is solid with great workmanship. the only problem I had was with the tuning pegs. They were made with steel and plastic. They were not good and have been replaced long ago with some Kustoms that have worked great.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I have played this guitar almost daily since I bought it and except for the fore mentioned tuning key problem it has been without problem. Back in my younger day I was pretty rough on it. I was in the Air Force for 20 years an it has been around the world with me in all types of conditions. It has held up well and still plays like a dream. I own many guitars both acoustic and electric and this is my " Old Reliable" This is the one guitar I will always keep.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never Used.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing guitar since 1975. I have owned many guitars. I presently play a 1959 Gibson, Melody Maker that has been modified with a 1952 Les Paul P-90, A Schecter Strat Custom, and an Epiphone Dot. I use a Fender Hotrod Deluxe and a Peavy Classic, 4X10. I also play through a POD direct through the PA.
As mentioned through out this review, I feel this is a fantastic instument at a great price. I would like to find another one of these days.
