Made in 2004, right here in the Philippines at Ocampos Guitar Crafters, Cebu, Philippines. 24 Frets. Solid top. One volume and one tone control knob, with 3 flip switches for selectors. Humbucker at the bridge and neck, single coil in the middle. Pickups made by Miltone Ocampos with a mid range boost that uses a 9 volt battery. Body is maple as is the neck. Finish is gold top similar to the non-glossy early Les Paul Goldtops in color. Body style is similar to that of a Music Man Axis, except I had them put a neck and headstock similar to the Ibanez models. Floyd Rose tremelo, grover 18:1 tuners, neck scale is thin with medium frets, I had this guitar designed for my wife, who is Filipina and small (5 ft, 85 lbs). Came with a hardshell case, strap and cord. The quality of this little guitar is absolutely incredible. I had Mr. Ocampos make me a stratocaster style guitar with a floyd rose and it is an impressive guitar. This is no different. Cost, well equivalent to about $135.00 american dollars. Quality, looks, playability and sound put it right up there in the thousand dollar range. I'm absolutely sure Mr. Ocampos could make a fortune with his guitars in the states. His creativity, originality, quality of work and the final product are way beyond Fender, Gibson or Ibanez.

Well, my music style is hard rock, southern rock to classic rock, with a little country, especially alternative country. My wife's music style (who I bought this for) is more along the soft, romantic rock, you know chick music lines and country. This guitar fits the bill for all of it. At home we have a Marshall MG15RCD and a Marshall MG10CD for practice amps. The guitar is not noisy at all. You can have a rich full sound or a bright sound, your choice. Bridge humbucker has a nice twang more like the telecaster vintage noiseless pickup. Middle pickup which is single coil is great for slow rock and soft mellow leads. Neck pickup can be blues sounding or dark heavy metal, depending on how you set the amp and your tone control knob. I've never had a guitar in the humbucker/single/humbucker configuration before, but I'm going to make a telecaster like that through Mr. Ocampos. I've found this to be the most versatile guitar I've ever laid my hands on. Very lightweight too, perfect for the little wife. She wanted the three flip controls for switches so she could have a bigger selection of pickup combinations and I have to admit, I like that too. Awesome little guitar, incredibly versatile, anything from Celine Dion
(fucking yuk) to Metallica (yahoo!)

Guitar set up perfectly. Pickups adjusted perfectly. Never seen a single flaw in any of his work. Absolutely incredible.

Guitar will most definitely withstand live playing. Tough as a tank, hardware is great, been rockin the house with the strat he made me a couple of years ago all this time, never crapped on me once, don't think this one will either. Strap buttons so solid you can barely get the strap on. Dependable. No one would gig without a backup.

My wife has been playing 10 years, she's damn good. We have too much stuff to list here, although she does have an Ibanez Joe Satriani signature. It it were lost or stolen I would get her another one. Outstanding guitar from an outstanding luthier, artist and craftsman.
