This is a Korean made 1999 Tacoma acoustic with standard dreadnought body style. The back and sides look like they are mahogany....they are simply beautiful. The top appears to be spruce. The neck looks like mahogany also with a rosewood fretboard. The stock no name tuners are excellent they look like Gotoh tuners. The guitar has the Tacoma bridge that I like so well and a nice solid black pick guard. The soundhole "inlay" isn't really an inlay at all but heck what can you expect for the price I paid. The neck and body is bound in an ivoroid material the really makes this guitar look like an expensive one. One last thing, the guitar is factory equipped with Elixer strings..nice touch.

The guitar has a nice mello sound. It isn't real loud like a big concert sized guitar but it does just fine. Sustain could be better but overall the sound is good. Perhaps this due to the coating on the Elixer strings.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Fit and finish on this guitar is really good. I've only found two flaws. One is the 16th fret is not down as tight as it could be on one end. It doesn't seem to affect anything though. Also the rosewood fingerboard seems a little dry...a little lemon oil should do the trick. For me the factory setup is a bit low.

The guitar is built just like the real Tacomas so it should stand up well and the finish is nice, thick, and shiny. I like these finishes but I believe that deadens the volume and sustain a bit on a guitar so it's a tradeoff. It would be nice if it had better strap buttons on it and more than one. I'm gonna have to put Schaller locking buttons on it like I have on my strats.

Haven't dealt with the company but the guitar does have a transferrable lifetime warranty.

I like this guitar a lot and originally bought it for my daughter to learn on so I didn't want to spend a lot of money. Turned out to be too big for her to handle. For a $200 guitar it looks and feels like a much more expensive guitar and I would recommend one. If it was stolen I would probably buy another one, especially at this price. It's much nicer than the similarly priced Epiphones and Fender acoustic.
