just bought the last leftover (new) of this model--$109.98--wow. plays well.all features as previously reviewed.

Sound : 8
clear but not overly loud.plugged in its as clear as acoustically played.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
this guitar was discontinued a few years ago and the one i bought was sitting in mf warehouse but again for $109 it was a deal.action is low to the 14-15 fret,16-20 gets a bit higher.fit & finish were quality jobs.same looks and most materials as tacoma 14dc priced at $1500plus.(of course its not exactly the same,i.e. made in indonesia not usa, etc.)

Reliability/Durability : 8
this guitar is light but sturdy and even survived three years in a warehouse and u.p.s. dings before i got it.unless i sit on it , it'll be around for years to come and sounds as good as $500-700 competition.

Customer Support : No Opinion
no warranty from mf but i'm contacting Tacoma(now a fender co.)let you know if i get a good response.heard above theres a 5 year warranty.

Overall Rating : 10
i looked at acoustic/electrics for several years--checked the above reviews before buying this and own electric bc rich nj warlock, cort effector and my original 1968 sekova.only thing i don't like is i'm used to slurs and bending strings on electrics and the d'addario's on this model are not bendable at all, change of strings should help.obviously a 10 for value at 80% off list.

Great sound, great action. Just got it for Christmas and couldn't be happier. Nice pickup, sounds great plugged in or unplugged. Not sure if I like the plug to be where the strap attaches, haven't really performed with it yet....seems ok though.

***Was wondering where that guy above me got the online quote from for $299 though! E-mail me PLEASE AT: ah8596@wayne.edu

Sound : 9
Sounds good...having trouble with some picking on the E string, but I think that's a problem I can mess with, otherwise great sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
The action is superb. Pickups are nice.....no excess noise...etc.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I've been hammering away at it for a few days and it has held up great! (humor) Not sure how it'll do in the long run but I'd rock it at a gig solo....like it a lot.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No experience here, 5 year warranty though.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing a few years, have an old Excel acoustic, very cheap guitar that was a hand me down. Also, a fender strat. A few old amps sitting around...etc. I like the guitar a lot and have no regrets (Price maybe but I'd like to know where that guy got his online quote from)
SOlid guitar with great sound. I've played a lot and liked it better the Ibanez AW300NT Acoustic Artwood Series, which is similar in price. I'd suggest it to anyone looking for a solid acoustic/electric, but take care of it!!!

My dad bought this baby for me last week for xmas. I love it. It has a fabulous solid wood top that looks very nice. It looks like an artistic guitar. Being a professional cellist, I pay attention to this kind of stuff. This guitar is a chick, not made to beat around.

Sound : No Opinion
First I bought an Ibanez pfn5cnt I think??? Anyway, the action was REALLY high and it beat the hell out of my fingers. I was kinda pissed when the cat at guitar center told me I needed to move up in price(complete bullshit) but I won the war when I presented an online quote and they lowered the cost over $100. They wanted $419 for this bad boy. Anyway, it pissed me off that it had feedback where the cheaper Ibanez did not. I brought it back though and the sales cat played it with me, and the Ibanez back to back, we played them, switched, plugged them and played some more. The Ibanez sounded muted compared to this instrument. Needless to say, I stayed with it after driving all the way over there AGAIN.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
The action is nice. See, I made the mistake of starting on an electric, superlow action and a breeze to play. Don't do this!!! No noise from the instrument, but it will feedback if you don't watch the bass and mids. No problem, the strong point to me was the refined crispy sound of it unplugged.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
This instrument is not a "beater." It is a nice guitar that I don't want the rugrats messng with. It looks fabulous and shouldn't be treated like a toy. My opinon.

have not dealt with them.

~I love it I love it I love it. I fell fortunate to be ahck with this guitar. Being a cellist, I know what sounds good and this thing has a rich and complex sound. It isn't loud, but I've heard some of the better acoustics aren't. I look forward to many years of enjoying this baby and honing my technique.

China made 20 fret acoustic electric guitar. Mine is black glossy finished. Piezo pickup, three-band equalizer with volume and presence.

Sound : 9
Unplugged it has a full deep tone. Well balanced between low high and mid. Plugged depends on the setup. I love the sound when connected with my PA powered mixer through my Digitech RP12. Since I don't own an acoustic guitar amp, I would quote the sound to be fair when plugged in my Traynor electric guitar amp. The electronics is quite acurate and the equalizer does the job. The presence button is not particularly useful.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The action is low and the guitar is very easy to play. When played a little rough, it may bzzz... But when plugged, I don't need to play that hard and there is no problem. The frets exceed a bit the width of the neck so that they may be harmful for your fingers at the biginning.

Reliability/Durability : 8
No problem with this guitar since I bought it a few months ago. I take a very good care of it because it is made of thin wood and I think it could break easily if it were hit, but not different from other similar guitars like Takamine, Ibanez, Norman, ...

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to deal with them.

Overall Rating : 9
I played many guitars of that kind. For my pop and folk styles of music, I would rate it equal to the Takamine EG series, better than the Jasmine in my humble opinion. The only reason I would not buy another one is that I would put four or five times the money to get a Martin, a Tacoma or a Garrison.

2001 Indonesian made for Tacoma cutaway accoustic/electric. Solid top with 9 volt active pickup. Back, sides, and neck are mohogany. Fretboard looks like ebony. Thick clear gloss finish. Has Tacoma's unique bridge. Ivory looking binding on the body, neck, and headstock. Fake abalone inlay around the soundhole. Very nice looking guitar. The spruce top has nice grain with a little bearclaw. Came strung with Elixers. Beautiful guitar. Was offered $300 for it new. Waited too long and it got away. The buyer returned it a week later because he wanted a guitar without electronics. I bought it for $210 very slightly used. It still had the plastic sheet on the pickguard.

Sound : 9
Sounds great. Nice sustain and a full tone. The sound is much better than the Jasmine it replaces. Have not plugged it up yet so I can't tell you how it sounds amplified.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
This guitar is beautiful. The finish is thick and flawless. The action is nice and low. My only gripe is the soundboard is concave around the soundhole. The fretboard gets thicker from where it joins the body as it reaches the soundhole. Don't know if this is a problem, only time will tell.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Seems like a solid guitar. It is my only guitar so I'll have to gig without a backup.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Have yet to deal with them but my salesperson, and friend, says that they are great to deal with.

Overall Rating : 9
Great guitar for the money. You can't beat the price for a solid top accoustic/electric. I stepped up to this guitar from a beginners guitar and will probably step up to a real Tacoma in the future. Again it is a beautiful guitar, well made. Would I buy it again, YES.
