A 2000 Special Edition model, limited to 300 made. It is a dreadnaught Cutaway. All Solid Mahogany Back and Sides (*Beautiful*) and perfect Spruce top. Very nice matte finish. Abalone Inlay on headstock and an inlay of a red sun and an abalone mountain on the 12th fret. Beautiful laser etching around the soundhole, with a mountain etched into the bottom. It's really one of the most beautiful guitars I have ever seen.
Sound
:
8
Beautiful sound, full and bright. Have recieved complements from Taylor, Gibson, etc owners on the overall sound of this guitar. Because it is an Olympia, it sounds a little different than a Tacoma. Tacoma uses different bracing internally that really makes them a standout guitar. For a mid-$200 guitar, you aren't going to find a better sound. I'm giving it an 8, because although it can hold it's own with pretty much anything, it still doesn't sound as nice as a "real" Tacoma.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The action is great, has a bit of a buzz on the "G" string, but I just need to take it to a Luthier and get it done up right.
The guitar is light as a feather, but solid as a rock. It really is a dream to have slung over your shoulder because it is so light.
The wood, binding, finish, inlay, etching is all perfect.

This guitar is a rock, it may seem too light when you first pick it up...but it really is built solidly. I have played this guitar many a time without a backup and haven't worried a bit. There is no pickguard (I need to get a clear one), but even with my rough playing style, I haven't seen any scratches come up on the guitar.

I've been playing seriously for 2 years, and I also play an Epiphone Les Paul, and a Takamine Acoustic. After I purchased this guitar, the Takamine has seen little to no action. This is a great all around guitar, and it is a beautiful little piece.
If it were stolen, I would be really pissed and would swear a lot and then I'd kick the dog. But then I would buy a Tacoma DM10 to replace it...(800 bucks more, but I like the fretboard better)
My favorite feature is the full sound I get from it, and my second favorite feature is just how damn cool it looks.
I wish it had the fretboard of the Tacoma DM line, it's a bit wider...I also wish Olympia would use the bracing system Tacoma uses, this guitar would be perfect with those 2 things...
The best guitar around for under 500 bucks!!
