Sounds heavenly. definitely has that Brazilian RING!
Cedar top gives it a real warm sound as well. super responsive being a cedar guitar.
Use it plugged through PA system or Roland amp.
Again, sound is amazing. harmonics are effortless. playability is sooooo easy!
love this guitar!

Set up was perfect. super low action as I wanted. Kevin has been working on guitars for years. he knows how to set them up!!!
pickups are perfect. I use B-band AST/UST with mic. sounds so natural plugged in!
everything was perfect!

this handmade is real light. The finish is lighter than other guitars, but now, i know Kevin uses a different more harder finish.
definitely will last a lifetime. everything is solid, but the guitar is light.
I play it everywhere!

Kevin is amazing. I send friends to him all the time. I've had my guitar repaired once because it suffered some heat damage. Kevin repaired it perfectly! the guitar was fixed flawlessly! warranty is lifelong!

I've been playing for about 13 years. I sold all my guitars to get this one and it was defintiely worth it!
If it were stolen, I'd definitely get another one right away!
I love everything about this guitar!
I've played Ryans, Olsons, Traugots, Bourgouis, Godalls, Taylors, Martins, you name it.
My Omega is the best feeling guitar I've played to date. and the tone is so warm and so nice!
I have a Ryan Cathedral coming to me as well. This shows my taste in handmade guitars.
if you are interested in handmade, don't hesitate to get an omega!!!
if you are in the Washington DC area and want to try mine out, email me! we'll work something out!
please feel free to email me with any questions!

I maily play fingerstyle coming from a classical background. That is why I chose the cedar top. extremely responsive. so easy to play harmonics, especially if you are into slapping them.
the sound is incredibly warm and rich. It definitely has that Brazilian RING to it!
being a cedar top, it is a little quiter, but the sound comes instantaneous. so responsive! doesn't break up under hard strumming as well. amazing!

Set up was perfect. Kevin knows how to set up a guitar! action is extremely low, just how I like it!
pickups installed and adjusted perfectly.
He knows his stuff! he used to do a lot of work on electrics as well.

I've been playing guitar for 13+ years. I have played everything from metal to classical to new age. I have played many high end guitars and many handmades. I've played Ryans, Olsons, Traugats, Bourgouis, Godalls, Martins, Taylors, etc. My Omega is the best feeling guitar I have ever played. it has a sweet sweet sound as well. I do have a Ryan Cathedral on order so that shows what other kind of guitars I'm into. You have to try an Omega, you won't be disappointed.
also, feel free if you are in the Washington DC area to give me a ring to try my guitars out. the gift of music is to share!

Extremely well balanced sound. Substantial bass to accompany high, brilliant harmonics.
Impressive sustain. What I enjoy most from this guitar is it requires little effort on my part to coax what I consider a warm, sweet tone from it. Used light gauge strings initially; moved 'up' to mediums which have resulted in increased volume.
Brand new, this guitar sounded 'tight' and the overall volume was subtle. However, over the past two years, this guitar has really opened up sonically (my perception = increased volume; greater dynmaic range, extended sustain). This guitar's sound continues to impress me.

Although a 'true' hand-made guitar (defined here as a single individual who does all work-from start to finish) won't always match the refined machined tolerences of a higher end factory guitar, I was quite impressed with the near-flawless & super clean finish work and joinery on this guitar. Gorgeous craftsmanship. Cleanly mitered corners, superior inlay & purfling work. Smooth, easy playability on a comfortable 'electric-style' neck. Solid intonation and wonderful action from nut to upper 'reachable' frets. Impressive.

A solid, well-crafted instrument. Light to hold & very well balanced in the lap. Case-kept in a plush Cedar Creek Deluxe.
Over the course of two years use and care, the top has developed a slight discoloration where my forearm crosses the lower bout. Several other of my guitars have begun developing this discoloration as well which leads me to believe it's a result of chemical reaction to ME (my sweat, my cologne??) and not some flaw in the top's finish.
Although I'm sure this guitar would hold up admirably for 'road duty,' I have no plans to expose this instrument beyond the rigors of local church performances and home use.
Overall, the guitar looks as beautiful as the day it was delivered two+ years ago.

The best part of this whole guitar commissioning process is getting to know luthier Kevin Gallagher.
As a customer, you'd would be hard pressed to find a more talented, experienced, honest and downright 'nice guy' to build you a custom instrument than Kevin. He was very patient and thoroughly informative with regards to all my questions and concerns about the instrument.
Kevin's guitars are warranted against defects in workmanship and materials for life to the original purchaser.

I've been playing for nearly 25 years & have owned multiple instruments (still do!) and must honestly say this guitar is by far the finest instrument I've had the pleasure of playing.
Kevin Gallagher exceeded all my expectations with regards to getting a custom left-handed instrument that would not only enhance my playing enjoyment currently, but also allow my musicianship to continue to grow. Terrific instrument.
Would I get another? Absolutely! Highly recommended.
