This is the poplar body nitefly with dual dimarzio humbuckers and the usual Parker hardware.....sperzel locking tuners, parker tremolo, fishman piezo's in the saddle, graphite nut, and comes set up with .009's. I am giving this an 8 only because the new model has the smart jack which automatically determines if you have the stereo or mono cable inserted. This feature allowed them to use the push pull tone pot as a split coil, which is what I wish this model had. Other than that the features are utterly awesome!

I think this guitar sounds great although I am going to change the pickups. As mentioned prior dimarzio offers a large selection of there pickups to fit the parker. The piezo pickups are awesome. I play this acousticaly for recording and live through a crate and it sounds great. I have compared my seagull with a L.R. Baggs and you can not tell the difference. Great job Parker/Fishman.

Here is where the Parker is KING! This guitar is perfect. With a couple turns of the bridge screws I set the action sickening low in seconds. The fret job is perfect just as Parker claims. I can play this thing for hours with no fatigue. The neck is fast as hell! The tuners are awesome. this thing hardly ever goes out of tune. The tremolo is smooth and the pots fell nice and tight. You can play this as an acoustic with vibrato, bend and hammers like an electric. Perfect guitar in this category.

I am a firm believer that you should play what you want and hw you want and copying every one else in sound and gear just because someone says you should is wrong. I chose this guitar for its playability and versatility. I can create sounds with the blended pickups (piezo and humbuckers) to come up with sounds that I never thought possible. This guitar has made me a better player because I can't put it down.
I will never go without a parker.......Mojo here we come baby!

I must say that I am more impressed with the sound of this guitar then i was with the classic model. I did like the sound of the Nitefly M (mahogany) a little better, but 300 beans more and the fact that I am anal about appearance as well, like the flat black color. Dimarzio does offer a number of its pickups that will work in the parker ie....FRED, PAF, AIR, HUMBUCKER FROM HELL, etc. so the options are there. I am the type of musician who believes that sound should be ever changing and evolving. music would not be where it is today if it were not for this. most of the reviews I read on this site are from people looking for the sounds of the past and the tones of others. Parker has done what most would not.....reinvented the guitar in his own unique way. I love the sounds I can get from this thing. I cannot wait to try other pickup variations and processors.

Here is where the Parker shined for me. This thing plays like a dream. It spoiled me with the ease of adjustment and the SICK action this thing has. The fret job is perfect! It came from the factory ready to roll. I just turned a couple screws on the bridge to adjust the action where I liked it (explained very well in the manual) and it was perfect. The tremolo and locking tuners are awesome, thumbs of for parker. This thing never goes out of tune. Light, fast, comfortable, and damn cool lookin'.

I have been playing for a few years. I play all sorts of music. And spend most of time recording and composing my own music into protools at home. I use this guitar for 90% of my string work. I love it. I have owned numerous guitars and they all have there good and bad. It all depends on your style and what you like. I purchased this guitar because it was light, plays like a dream, super action, the peizo's, and the price of the new nitefly p is in my range. I always wanted one, but they were expensive unless you wanted the rosewood fretboard p model.
