I believe this is a 2007 H2, but not sure. I won't list all the features because others already have and they are all the same. All of the H2's are black, with the psuedo duncan p'ups that I think are hotter than the the real duncans in the H4

This guitar is amazing. Every time I pick it up I am inspired to play longer, even if it's not plugged in. I am currently running through a Line6 s3 w/ a boss phazer and digi whammy 4. I use this AXE in a cover band and it does it all, from acoustic to jazz sounds to rock and metal. For a semi-hollow body it gets surprisingly low amount of feedback when cranked. This may sound cheesy but I usually judge the sound of a guitar in metal mode by it's ability to rock a pinch harmonic and the H2 does not disappoint. As far as the acoustic sounds go, it obviously is not a real acoustic so it doesn't sound exact but it is so close when playing live it doesn't matter. The ability to switch from acoustic sounds to metal in an instant just rules.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Action is perfect for me. I lowered it just a bit after I got it but didn't adjust anything else. The factory setup really is awesome - I could not get enough of this thing when I was trying out @ the local guitar center and had to have it immediately.

Reliability/Durability : 9
So far so good. I've had it for about a year I guess and have only needed to change the battery and strings. It is a hollow body so I'm a little more careful w/ it than my strats, but no worries.

I would be very sad if it were stolen and would replace it in a heartbeat.

The only thing I would change about this beast is the size. It's a little on the large side for a rock guitar, but it may be this size for tone reasons.

Indonesian made USA designed. 22 Frets medium jumbo. Mahogany Body/neck, Solid maple top. H/H/A pickups, two mini humbuckers, Fishman TOM Power Bridge Piezo acoustic transducer. String Through body. Gloss Black. Grover tuners. Case.

I use this guitar with a Vox Valvetronix Amp at home and a Boss GT3 through a PA at Church. This guitar does everything well. It sounds like an acoustic straight through a flat EQ'd PA. It sounds like anything you want through the Vox amp. VERY versatile.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The guitar needed a setup done, as do most when you get them. Otherwise, the fit and finish was great considering it came from Idnonesia. The only thing I might consider in the future with this is a possible pick up - upgrade. For now they sound satisfactory. I AM going to put Sperzel Locking Tuners on this thing.

Reliability/Durability : 10
It will be played out four out of six Sundays at church. I expect no problems. I will have a back up there just because of the possibility of string breakage. Nice finish, if it does wear, hey using Fender's logic, I could turn it for a BIG PROFIT for being "road worn". Yeah right. As it ages and shows wear, it just means that I am giving her all of the love she deserves. Look at Old Black as an example.

Currently their website is down, so it is difficult to get hold of them. I need a new handle for the case, but I bought it that way.

Overall Rating : 10
Playing for a at least 20 years on and off. I also have a Heavily modded Epiphone Les Paul Standard with crazy Carvin pick ups. I use a simple old but trustworthy Alvarez acoustic for sitting around picking. I have the Vox Valvetronix Amp. These are fairly hard to come by, but if stolen or damaged I would scour Ebay to get another. THIS GUITAR IS THE HOLY GRAIL FOR THOSE WHO WANT ACOUSTIC AND ELECTRIC BUT ONLY WANT TO LUG ONE GUITAR.

I bought an Indonesian made H-2 from Guitar Center and it is a blast. It includes active electronic switching from Realistic Acoustic to Electric or blended, all on one 3-way switch. A separate tone and volume control for acoustic and electric pickups. I understand that these are supposed to be Seymour Duncan electric pickups. The neck is a medium sized C-Shape and it has 22 frets that are tall enough to bend strings easily. The color of mine is black with ivory binding on neck and body. This is a single cutaway similar to a Les Paul but it is a slim-linned hollow body. The tun-o-matic bridge and Gotoh tuners are unbeatable in my opinion. I did buy the pre-formed case specifically for this guitar and it was a good deal.

Sound : 10
This is why I bought this axe. It offers mainly rich/full sound, nothing like my strat which is bright. It stays in tune for days and produces pure acoustic tones and warm electric blends. When switched over to all electric, watch out. It cranks like a Les Paul and ES 335 mixed. I play Christian rock, worship and ballads and this covers the gammit. I only used a few pedals: MXR Phase 90, for Jazzy acoustic songs, MXR Dyna-Comp Compression for extended sustain, Blues Driver to punch the overdrive tones and a Digital Delay by Ibanez for short brief delays. I plug it all into a Trademark 60 by Tech 21 which has tube emulation circuitry.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The intonation on this guitar is exact from the shop. I may lower the action slightly but it came setup with 10's on it, just like I use. The bridge setup is strings through the body and I think that helps it to stay in tune. Only flaw was a slightly sticking tone control, it was fixed before I left the store.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I plan on using this for recording and live playing. All parts appear to be of great quality especially the Gotoh tuners, nice touch Parkwood. The strap buttons are solid and the finish is sweet. This will be my "go to" guitar.

No reason to deal with Parkwood as yet.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for about 15 years and have owned about 20 different styles of guitars. I've owned Crate Vintage club amps, Fender Deluxe and Tech 21. I asked all my questions before buying, played it like 5 times and bought it. The price was incredible but it was a post Memorial Day price cut. I would replace this guitar in a heartbeat. The warm tones, bluesy grind and acoustics are exceptional. I would rate it side by side with a T-2 by Taylor. I played a Taylor just before buying this and I'll never be sorry. The feel of the Taylor was nice but it was neck heavy and I couldn't play it standing up with a strap. The weight balance on this H-2 is even. The only thing I could imagine being added to this guitar is a single coil pickup for a slightly brighter sound. I'd be able to sell my strats altogehter and have one full size acoustic guitar and this H-2.

Amazing sound right away. I took it to a gig the first day I bought it. It did not sit on the guitar stand at all. It was played on every song that the band played. The acoustic sound was awesome on country, the rythem sounds were perfect on the funk, the overdrive was tremendous. There was so much sustain that there was harmonic feedback. The blues sound
was perfect. This guitar is unbelievable in a tube amp and responds very well with analog effects.I did not even get a chance to set it up yet, this was off the shelf. It really blew me away I play 1 to 3 gigs a week and if this guitar holds up like I think it can I will be one happy player. The best thing about this guitar is that it is two guitars in one, and the price is in the ballpark!

The H2 is a thin line hollow body with two mini humbuckers. It also has a Fishman power bridge. The body is mahogeny with a maple top. It comes standard with Grover turners and meduim jumbo frets. Also came with a hardshell case.

Sound : 10
I've been playing for over 40 years and have never limited myself to just one style although these day's I probably lean more on Jazz and Blues. Currently I run my guitars through either a Line 6 Duo or a Mesa Boogie Mark I. The sounds that the H2 affords me are just amazing. The singular lines that I like to play are articulate and the guitar sounds very nice when playing cordal structures. As I said I have several different guitars in my arsenal some are better then other's for certian kindas of music but the H2 is able to morph into just about any style I care to play.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The action right out of the box was passable although I did take it my guitar tech to fine tune the setup to my taste. Very low and fast. Sometimes new guitars require extensive breakin time before they begin to feel like an extension of the palyer's soul but this one felt ready to play from the start. Initally I had thought of using it solely for the acostic emulations but I find that by combining the electric and acostic bridge it has a really cool tone.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Everything seem's solid enough. Hardware seem's well fitted and the black finsih is very classy looking. I probably will need to find someone who can make a pickguard for this guitar but this is just a personal playing preference. Yes I would and have used this guitar withoug a backup.

Customer Support : 10
I had an inital question as to whether it would be worth while to replace the generic humbuckers with the Seymour Duncans found on the H4 so I called Parkwood and they were very quick to respond. The generic pickups are I think equally as hot as the Duncans.

Overall Rating : 10
I bought this from guitar center and found it to be a truly remarkable and affordable instrument. I have been playing for over forty years and in that time have either played or owned everything under the sun. Every so often I would come across a instrument that just had inherent musical mojo. I don't know what it is but even like instruments in a series can very and I was lucky enough to come across just such an instrument when I picked up your H2. I had been planning to buy a thin line instrument and had actually been thinking along the lines of buying a Gibson again even though I have for many years been disappointed with their craftsmanship. I came across the Parkwood's sitting in the entrance way to the store and tried it out and was really taking back by the tone. As I mentioned earlier every so often you will pick up an instrument and it has a voice that just expresses what you feel and this guitar has that wonderful tone and feel. Enough said!
