2007 Model, made in Korea "under exclusive license for PRS". Mahogany body with maple top and flamed maple veneer. Rosewood fingerboard with moon inlays. 22 frets, PRS "wide-fat" neck. Dual "zebra" humbuckers with a 3-way switch and volume and tone knobs. Comes with a great deluxe gig bag but I purchased a Hardshell Gator Case for mine. Blue Matteo

Sound : 10
I also own a PRS CU-22, Fender Amer. Strat, Fender Amer. Tele, Taylor T-5. This guitar is amazing for the money. I play in a pop/rock band. I can't put this guitar down. I play this through a Mesa Boogie Caliper 50+ Head/ Mesa 3/4B Cabinet 1x12. For effects I'm using a Clark Gainster, Ocean Effects Vintage Echo,BBE Compressor, BBE Sonic Maximizer Pedal. It has a nce full sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The guitar was set up perfectly out of the box. The only flaw I could find was the sound hole was a little rough, could of been sanded better.Great bookmatched top.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Everything looks like it's built to last to PRS standards.

This guitar sounds fabulous, with a bright, acoustic sound. It sounds super unplugged as well. Beautiful clean tones. Suitable for blues, jazz, rock, but not for metal. I play mostly rock (not hard rock) and blues. I would say it's pretty versatile. Not noisy at all.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
Guitar was set up very well from the factory with the action very low. All the hardware was top notch. The only gripes I have were the flame maple veneer is not amazing on my guitar (I have the natural finish), and the "tortoise shell" pickguard effect looks a little cheapy to me.

Reliability/Durability : 9
As I mentioned, the hardware seems excellent and the guitar appears very well built. I've had it for getting close to a year and haven't had any trouble. I don't gig so I can't speak to that. I will say that the guitar is very lightweight. The finish is heavily glossed so it should stay pretty clean.

Can't comment.

I've been playing about 10 years, just as a hobby. I love this guitar; if it were stolen, I would absolutely buy it again. It's light, with an open, airy, bright, snappy sound. I love the neck, it's fast especially with the low action. As I said, it sounds great unamplified too. I replaced an Epiphone Sheraton II with this guitar and haven't regretted it for a second. I can't think of another guitar I'd rather have for this price.

2007 Korean manufacture (World Musical Instrument Co.), 22 frets, mahogany body with top half routed out to provide semi-hollow characteristics, maple top with flame maple veneer, volume tone and 3-way switch, 2 humbuckers, mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard medium frets, 10" fret curve, 25" scale length, PRS stopbar bridge with wraparound, deep gloss finish, natural color, excellent gig bag.

Sound : 8
This guitar has an amazingly clean sound, in fact, if you back off the volume and turn the tone all the way up, it does a very good job of sounding like an acoustic guitar and would double as one in a pinch. I've only used it with small amplifiers (Roland Cube 30, etc.) at the moment, so I'm not sure if it will feedback with high power or not. It has a very bright sound, snappy and zingy steel string sound. If you're looking for mellow bluesy sounds, it might not be the best, but it does dirty-up reasonably well. There is quite a range of tones from the two pickups alone or in combinanation, and the tone control has a lot of range. This makes it a pretty versatile guitar.

The first thing you notice is how incredibly light this guitar is! It is noticeably lighter than my SE Soapbar II which is very light, I think. The second thing you notice is how comfortable it is to hold and play; the neck is as comfortable to my hands as the Soapbar, but with the flat top, slightly less body comfort, but the light weight certainly makes it easy on the shoulder strap.
Setup was very good, I tweaked it just a bit in intonation and pickup height (although one could argue it didn't need it very badly) and everything else appeard to be right-on.
Fit and finish was excellent, action was very good, low but little or no buzz (I say "little" because it begs to be played acoustically and if you really start strumming, the low actions makes it buzz).
The veneered flame maple top is nice, a good flame if not the best I've seen, and it took me a while to verify by the grain in the wood that it was veneer and not a full 1/4" piece, but it is a 1/4" maple top with a thin veneer of the flame maple added. The natural mahogany back shows beautiful grain and the fact that the body is made of 3 pieces glued together. I've had it for about 10 days and played it and looked it over every day, and haven't found a flaw yet.
To sum it up: It is very comfortable and easy to play, and looks beautiful in its own unique way.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I don't see anything about this guitar to make me think it would have any durability problem under normal conditions. I suppose the hollowed out (canoe) area might make it more easily damaged if you threw it, or dropped it or stepped on it, but even then it seems solid enough to take minor abuse. The hardware looks solid as do the strap buttons, and the gig bag is one of the best (although I immediately bought a hardshell case as I simply don't trust gig bags as a policy). The typically (pretty thick) Korean manufacture poly coating should be durable, and it really is pretty.

I have not had to contact PRS, but they have a limited lifetime warranty.

I've been playing pretty steadily for the past 15-20 years, mainly acoustic guitars, but have gone to electrics more in the past 5 years. I have 3 Epiphones, a Guild and now two PRS SE electrics, and the PRS SEs are as good a quality guitar, feel, fit& finish, sound as any of the others. Obviously different styles of play dictate different guitars, but I don't think anyone who finds the sound of this guitar to match their style would find anything to quibble about. It definitely has a unique sound, and that is one thing I like about it. It's not an ES-335 or Les Paul or a Strat or a Tele, it is different than all of those. Well worth the price.
