I guess this guitar was made this year, 2006 in South Korea. It has 20 frets before body. Solid Sitka Spruce top. This is an acoustic guitar. The back and sides are ribbon mahogany. The fretboard is rosewood. It has maple binding around the body, neck and headstock. It has the Satin finish. It is a dreadnought style. It has opalescent tuners. It came with a really nice gigbag.

I play bluegrass and it is great for that style. The sound from this guitar is great. I can't wait until it really opens up.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
When I got the guitar the action was set low which suited me fine. I haven't found any flaws.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I think this guitar can withstand as much as any other dreadnought, probably more. It seems that everything is well put.

I have e-mailed this company with some questions and they immediately responded. That means a lot to me.

I have been playing guitar for about 50 years now. I have a Fender American Deluxe Strat and an Epiphone Double Neck SG. I must admit that I have not played either of these guitars since I received this D-28. It's addicting. I would replace it with the same guitar, absolutely. The sound is awesome. I was looking at a used Washburn and a new Guild. I have played some Martins. I once owned a 12 string guitar that was made in South Korea. It had a fabulous sound. That's why I considered something from Korea. They have the experience and the price is not outrageous.

2004. Yangja, South Korea. 20 frets. Solid spruce-top. Artec pick-up. ~ volume, bass, middle, treble, & presence. Config.?? Active electronics.

Body: Back & sides: solid (nice & heavy) rosewood!!
Neck: Solid Mahogany.
Fretboard: Rosewood.

Finish: looks transparent but I'm not certain. I sanded the neck off. I hate finish as it tends to slow me down.

Body Style: Dreadnought, cutaway. I replaced the pegs with ones made of brass. Tuners look solid~ goldish. No name.

Neck is "normal" solid mahogany.

Came with a nice black hard-shelled case.

It really suits my style, which is a folk, folk-rock celtic feel. Sort of singer-songwriter stuff. I love the fact that it is heavy and solidly made. I use it with a zoom 5052 guitar pedal. I just sold my amp and am upgrading next week. It has a bright sound, but over time I'm hoping that it mellows out. It should get better with age. It has good natural resonance. It really fits well with my style.

One friend commented that it has a bit of a classical feel.

When I bought it, the action was very low. It was perfect for me. The pick-up is fine. No problem. It is a well-built guitar. I was/am very impressed with it! There no flaws. Built solidly.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I've been using it in gigs and it's been standing up really well to the test of time. I've been using it at gigs without a back-up. Very dependable.

One small problem. Due to the dryness of Korean winters & ondol heating, and other stupid factors, there is a crack in the wood next to the pick-up. I called up the president of the company and he said that the wood used was originally for without a pick-up. Ususally if a pick-up is included, they use a stronger piece of wood around the pick-up. Understandable, yet unexcuseable. Need to get it glued next week. (Got the humidifyer on!)

I've been playing guitar for 28 years. I've got 6 acoustic guitars and have gone through many others over the years. I also play the mandolin. I'm in love with this baby. They're hard to find, but they're really a gold mine! I was lucky to get it on sale at a fantastic price. What a deal! I fell in love with it on the first strum. With all real wood you feel the music resonate on your belly. Awesome sensation!! I really love the sound it makes. To me, it sounds about as good as a Martin D-28. Call me crazy, but this is a nice guitar.

The only thing that I hate is the brown inly around the whole. I hate brown. But that's pretty superficial, really.

BTW, They usually go for much more than what I paid. I guess I'm just a lucky bum!
