Okay I was looking for a cheep acostic / electric for my boy. I visited an number of stores played quite a few really wasn't sold on any of them I have a Martin DX 1 which I love and promissed to my older son. Since recieving the TGX / Peal well he is no longer interested in my Martin and truthfully I keep picking up the DC-20 to play. Love it so much I just ordered a second for my younger son. Tuner works great, the DC-20 is staying intune, pick ups sound wonderful and I think it's built to last.

I really like the sound I played it next to my Martin DX1 and yes it sounds different but still a really nice sound. We plugged it in to hear the pick ups they worked great. I will need to change the strings and play alittle to find the right ones. Right now my son wont let me touch it. I also used the built in tuner and have been checking them with my hand held and they are right on ( oh by the way they even shipped a battery. I haven't had a chance to really determine how the pick ups work on the XLR but how cool that they add that as a option.

I was expecting a less glossy finish I like the more woody looking but my sons loves it they think it is cool. I also think the ring around the sound hole is goofy but again they love it. The action is great especially when you are looking at something under $400. I have had this less than a week and I pick it up more than my Martin I also ordered a second one for my youngest son. Really they are 9 and 7 and I believe this will last them a long time. My older son says it sounds better that his teachers.

I only am giving this a 8 because with all that they add really they sould add a second strap button I hate that I might have to viod the great warrenty to add a second button. I would rather they send a cheeper gig bag and fix the button problem. The gig bag is really kind of nice, I have another so it's not a big deal. Okay my Martin didn't come with strap buttons either or a bag for that matter. Truthfully I have a great realtionship with the local music store and I feel bad going in to ask them to fix it when I didn't buy the $300 yamaha I was looking at buying. I also keep my Martin in it's case so it doesn't get trashed I believe we will be hanging the DC-20 so I think it will be the one we play the most and I am fine with that, it is really growing on me.

I did have to call guitar imports because I didn't get an e-mail confirmation, but I ordered on Sat and they are closed and I called early Monday Morning. They took care of me asap and I had my guitar by Thusday.

I will have to give this a 10 the higher rating is of coure due to price and sound. I spent a month checking online prices and visiting my local stores. I had no idea what to expect when I ordered this and when I did I was very happy with my purchase. I like the sound much better than anything out there for under $ 400 ($299 on sale). I also wanted an acostic electric for my boys I hate trying to mic all the people I work with who don't have pick ups ( I used to run a coffee house where lots of college students and young artist would come and play). I also can't wait to try the XLR in a larger setting to hear the sound, Maybe I can get away with out carring my DI box everywhere. Side note for all you beginners get a pick up (mic stands and mixing in front of the quitar sucks and is stupid) and get a DI, and bring a tuner, or buy the DC-20 which comes with all those options. Bottom line I have the Martin DX1 ($499)and the DC - 20 I love them both the Martin is my at home baby and the DX-20 is my new work hourse.

Import Cutaway Electric/Acoustic with a 4 band Artec Piezo pickup. The wood looks nice and the build quaility is exceptional for this price range. The tuners are enclosed chrome. While they do feel a bit flimsy, they hold tune properly. I thought about changing them out, but that would defeat the purpose of a low cost, knock around guitar.Came with a thin gig bag. It keeps the dust out, but offers little in the way of protection.??

While the looks of hte cuitar caused me to pick it up, the sound caused me to do a couble take. I'm being totally honest when I say this Peal DC-20 sounded better that the guitars sitting next to it that cost 5 times more. The tone is very rich and detailed and the volume is quite surprising. I've yet to really romp on it, so not sure if it will compress or not, but I really don't care! It sounds splendid acoustically and very, very nice plugged in.

The guitar was set up very well. Next to the sound of the instrument, the action completely blew me away. It plays like a dream! Very comfortable and easy to play. The finish is nice and the constuction inside the guitar seems very neat and tidy. Certainly not what one would expect on a guitar in this price range. The only negative is the fret ends. They are sharp and will cut your fingers if not careful. I'll take care of that in due time though, so no biggie for me, (as I work on all my own guitars) but I can see it being an issue for others. Nut and saddle are plastic. I may replace both with Tusq, but we'll see as they are fine as is.????????????

Time will tell! But for the price, it could fall apart in six months and I'd still be ahead in the game....I'd just order another!

I've been playing over 40 years. I now own and have had some killer vintage acoustics and electrics in that time. I won't bore you with the details. Suffice to say, for the money this guitar is a no brainer. It plays well, sounds great and looks nice. It's a fun guitar to play and draws you to pick it up. I showed it to my buddy who has been playing as long as I have and he freaked out! He wanted it right now! He is ordering one today.

Ordered the guitar on-line for daughters graduation gift. I am not a musician but we knew it did not sound right. We took it to a local shop and spent $35 having the neck aligned and som frets filed. Now it sounds good, but I am out some extra cash. We were told that it is a good guitar and well worth the money we paid for it.

This is a new guitar made in Korea. It has 20 frets and a two piece
spruce top. The DC 20 comes with a 4 band + master volume active equalizer and Piezo pick-up. Cutaway body made from mahogany in a high
gloss finish. The neck is also made from mahogany and tuners sealed chrome. The DC-20 comes with free padded gig bag.

Came with factory strings that sounded dull and flat. I changed to
light Martin's and now I could not be more satisfied. Sounds rich and full whether amped or not. The sound keeps getting better with age. The 4 band equalizer allows for a wide selection of tones.

This guitar is beautiful. The finish on the guitar is flawless (and
believe me I looked hard). It has an adjustable truss rod but the action fit me straight out of the carton. The high E tuner has some
play but it hasn't affected the tuning (yet).

This is a solid guitar that looks like its built to last awhile. It
came with only l strap button but it was easy to add the other.

I sent the company a money order in the mail and received the guitar
6 days later. The people I talked to were friendly and helpful.
The DC-20 comes with a one year guarantee and a 3 year warranty.

I been playing recreationally for a number of years and I have owned
a right handed (strings reversed)Epiphone and I still have a right handed Applause. I looked at a lot of not too expensive guitars and was almost ready to purchase A Washburn D10SCE when I ran across Guitar Imports and Peal guitars. I was really interested in one of their higher priced models but the DC-20 was the only left handed model they offered. With all the features it offered and the 1 year guarantee I felt I had nothing to lose for the price. I couldn't be happier with this guitar. My son is now learning how to play (on my Applause) and when he improves I will buy him a Peal guitar.
