Korean made laminated top acoustic/electic with piezo pickup and 4 band EQ. The body and top are maple laminate, the neck is maple, fretboard is rosewood with nice abalone inlays. Decent closed tuners. Came with nice fitting padded gig bag. Comfortable to play. Light as a feather.

Sound : 8
I've played the guitar in a variety of styles and find that it sounds best fingerpicking and playing jazzy style stuff. It sounds decent unamplified but sounds much stronger electrified with a little reverb/chorus. It does strummed rhythm stuff much better electrified. I like the versatility of the EQ to color the tone. You could concievably play any style if you worked to get the right tone.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
For the money it's a beautiful instrument, well appointed with beautiful abalone inlays. The top is a nice layer of "flamed maple". There are a few tiny imperfections here and there. Some glue residue, but it's solid. The only real problem I have with the guitar is that the action gets pretty high past the seventh fret. I'll need to have the action ajusted before I play out with it.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I believe with care this guitar will last for a number of years. The electronics are usually the first to go. But this guitar seems as likely to last as any guitar I've played up to about the $600.00 range. I'm not crazy about the location of the input jack integrated into the center of the soundbox strap button. And I wish it would have had another strap button already in the heel. But I can deal with those small details. I will gig with it as soon as the action is adjusted, but I will have a back-up. But I'd have a back-up if I played a Martin,Taylor,Takamine,Seagull,Santa Cruz...whatever.

The company has been responsive to my queries. One of the main selling points of these guitars without playing them is the warranty/guarantee they offer. Their website is informative and they offer a payment plan.

I've been playing for 20 years. I have a dreadnaught and a semi-hollow electric in addition to this little fella. If it were lost or stolen I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. I love it's looks and tone. I hate that it didn't play as well as I'd like out of the box. I've been looking for a decent affordable a/e for about a year. I've tried many including some of the bigger names "budget models". This guitar is a steal.

this guitar is one of the best values i have ever seen at such a minute price, the sound is excellent and the guitar seems to be made very well, hats off to the korean craftsmen, but there is one small flaw, the EQ wires arent attached to anythings so they make a small bumping sound when you move it, but it doesnt harm its playability. the soundboard is beautiful and also so is the neck, this is a very good deal and i recommend this to anybody no matter the skill level

Sound : 9
nice deep sound

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
action is set up nicely, i didnt have to change anything

Reliability/Durability : 9
this is a very dependable guitar

Customer Support : 10
the warranty is three years, good coverage and plus if you dont like the guitar for whatever reason you can send it back within a year of purchasing it for a full refund (even shipping costs) but you have to keep the original packaging, but you dont need that because you wouldnt let a beauty like this one get away now would you

Overall Rating : 10
ive been playing guitar for about two years now, and i also play bass, drums, and keyboard and own four guitars but i beleive this was my greatest buy (except for my jazz bass which i picked up for very cheap, its my primary weapon)

You can read about the features of this guitar or purchase one at Guitar Imports website (http://www.guitarimports.com/peal-guitar-sc.htm).
First off, let me say that I am extrememly pleased with what I got for my $283.00. This price included everything: nice HSC, padded gig bag, and shipping, and the guitar arrived within TWO days of ordering!
The price of just the guitar was 200 bucks.
I must admit, I have more guitars then sense (I know I'm not alone here... you know who you are) but all my guitars are well over the quality level of the type that I would take on a camping trip or let an inexperienced friend play. That's why I bought this guitar.
For the money - great features.

Sound : 6
You know when you go into Guitar Center to buy strings and you're waiting for the tattoed pin cushion behind the counter to get off the phone with his girlfriend and you pick up the $100 el-cheapo and start strumming it and it sounds like a shoe-box stuck on a broom stick with dead strings? This guitar doesn't sound like that. It DOES NOT sound like a hi-quality acoustic, but it's not bad. It sounds better than those Fender tele-strata-coustics. I'd say it lacks bass. It's midrangy. I'll give a 6.5. Very acceptable for camping and playing in the living room. I haven't plugged it in yet, so I don't know if the electronics will bring up the score. But remember, this guitar is for camping trips. I'm not packing a P.A. just to make my guitar sound better. It kinds of defeats the purpose...

Finish
Visually, this guitar is very nice - from a distance. The specific guitar that I received was not perfect.
There are several imperfections in the glossy finish. I would expect a finish to be uniformly smooth, but the finish on this particular guitar - although for the most part pretty smooth- has some noticeable deformations. I counted at least 6 "divets" on the body of the guitar. They looked like dings at first glance, but upon further inspection, you can tell they are where the wet finish soaked un-evenly into the wood or something. In a car finish I think you'd call it a 'fisheye' or something. Also, on the binding on the cut-away horn, the finish looks like it chipped off or simply wasn't applied. It's very dull only at that location. There is also a eigth-inch smudgy gray mark beneath the finish just below the sound hole.
Fitting
At 'fitting' locations - where the neck joins the body, also at the nut, it isn't as "clean" as it should be. There are little uneven spaces between the nut and the neck, and the finish around where the fretboard joins the body is 'smudgy' next to the binding.
The inlays on the neck are done very well, and the frets are also leveled nicely - there is no unacceptable buzzing when playing. The intonation - expecially on the low E and A strings is close but it isn't spot-on. But its good on the remaining strings.
The action is very good. I'm used to playing electrics so due to my being spoiled in this regard, a guitar must be easy to fret.
Pretty gold tuning keys. I hope the gold sticks.
The E.Q. battery slips in on top of the guitar and makes contact with the electronics INSIDE the E.Q. compartment. NO WIRES! I like no wires.
The back of the neck could be considered to be like a standard Fender "C" shape. It's very playable.

Reliability/Durability : 9
It seems like this guitar is very sturdy. It's light, but it feels like it will last. For at least one or two camping trips. Unless Darrel gets drunk and does his Jimi Hendrix strat burning stunt on top of the Winnebago again. I hate when he does that...

Customer Support : 10
I just took delivery so I haven't had need for customer support. I have to say, I ordered the guitar on Monday and it arrived on Wednesday - Utah to California - so I'm already impressed with customer support as far as that goes. I don't know how helpful they would be, but I'm giving them a 10 for delivery and packing.

Overall Rating : 9
I've been playing for ... damn... a LONG time.
My acoustics include a '76 Ovation artist and a '74 Gibson B-45-12.
I really do like the look of this guitar. You will too. The curly maple top (which looks laminated to me) is reel purdy.
The cutaway provides very good access to the higher frets
Overall, for 200 bucks, it's a winner. Sure beats the crap out of the old Harmony acoustic I had to learn on. Even with the imperfections listed above, I won't be returning it for my money back. If you decide to purchase this guitar just keep in mind "It's a $200 guitar". You'll be very pleased. You'd have to be on drugs to think you could do better than that. And if you CAN do better than that, would you please drop me a line? (Or share your drugs...)

Great all-purpose amplified semi-jumbo acoustic.
It will be amped by a Kustom KAA-30TH.
Quiet electronics...nice range of tone. Prescence control a nice bonus. You can get from medium to deep to bright on the onbaord EQ. Very easy action! Strings perhaps guaged a bit light, but the bass control fills out the sound.
I really like ists small size and easy fretting...very accurate on pitch, and it's a real show-biz guitar for stage use. One of the best piezo sounds ever.
The bookmatched maple is nothing less than gorgeous!

This thing is light but stron, with intelligent bracing placement. The hardware has a nice gear ration on the gold winders, and I think I may put a string button back of the neck! HAte to mark it up, though.

Made in South Korea has curly maple back, sides, and top. Mohogany neck. Grover style tuners (stays in tune well). This is a "concert size" guitar. Nice electronics. 4 band equalizer. Comes with free gig bag.

Sound : 10
acoustically, nice rich tone. 4 band equalizer lets you get any sound from this guitar. I use a true flat top sound, as I play country.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Could find no flaws in this guitar. Only the second guitar I've bought that didn't need "tweeking". Strings were low, and easy to play.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Everything about this guitar screams quality, but It's the first Peal i've had and I've only had it a month, so time will tell.

Customer Support : 10
Bought the guitar from Guitar Imports. Extreamly friendly and helpful staff. One year satisfaction guarantee.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing guitar for over 30 years. Have owned guitars by Gibson, Taylor, Yamaha, etc. This is the nicest playing guitar I've ever owned. Every bit a beautiful as my Gibson J-200.
If stolen, I'd replace it with the same model in a heart beat.
