This is a Strat copy with a maple fretboard. The fit and finish of the body is excellent and I have had no problems keeping it in tune.
I do not use the whammy bar. Fretboard shows some wear after 5 months of playing it 2-3 nights a week.
Sounds amazingly like a Fender and is very ligt in weight. Alder body.
String-thru body bridge and conventional Fender controls.
C-type neck that after set -up plays great.

Sound : 10
I play jazz, country and oldies and get a complete tonal range from this guitar played through a Fender 90 watt solid state amp.
Pickups are quiet.
Love that Fender sound without spending a lot of money for it.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
I had the guitar set up after receiving it, but I have had this done to all my guitars regardless of cost.
I found no problems with the sound or flaws in the finish.
Fingerboard shows wear but neck is straight and, with regular waxing, my hand glides over it.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I have used this guitar exclusively sinc receiving it in April of 2005. It is the only guitar that I bring to a gig.
I enjoy it so much that I sold my 87 Tele which I stopped playing since the Peal.

Customer Support : 10
Before buying my first Peal, an SC solid top A/E flat top, I spoke with Nate over the telephone.
He reassured me of the 1 year money-back guarantee and the No Shipping Costs policy. That was in July of 2004 and I still have that guitar and love it.
Nate is very helpful and available to handle all questions.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing guitar for 50 years and have owned Fender, Gibson, Guild, Ibanez and Peavey guitars.
The Peal is truly a bargain at twice the price.
Don't let the $139 price tag fool you into thinking it is some cheap toy; It isn't.
If it were lost I would replace it with another in a heartbeat.
Love that undeniable strat sound and it's light weight.
A $1200 guitar isn't going to make you a better player.
