Features : 9
The guitar was probably made in 2003. It has a solid spruce top and laminated mahogany back, sides and neck; rosewood fretboard; grand concert body. The features of the intrument are just right but I had to play and test some instruments in the shop because others of the same model had minor flaws. No electronics.

Sound : 10
I find the sound a little boxy but otherwise less boxy than my other guitar, a Cort Earth 200gc, and still less boxy than a Tacoma pm-15 that I previously owned and that costs ten times the price of this one. So for the price I will classify the sound of this instrument as a fantastic one.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The set-up at the factory was great. The action didn't have to be adjusted since it was perfect: not too high or low as I found on other guitars; some Crafter guitars that I tried, for example, came with such a high action that made them unplayable; or other Cort guitars had very low action with frets buzzing.
The top isn't perfectly bookmatched but I think of this as a minor flaw since You can see it only under some kind of lights.

Reliability/Durability : 9
The guitar seems very durable and well made so I think It will last for a long time if not abused. I also use light strings on It wich for me don't stress the neck too much.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't dealed with the company at this time since I had no problems with the instrument.

Overall Rating : 10
I think that for the price this intrument has a fantastic value. I have been playing for ten years and I tried almost all kind of acoustic intruments: Taylor, great sound but very high price, Lowden, very particular sound but almost no volume since the top is too thick (I'm not a liuther though, so perhaps there is a good reason for the tickness of the top), Lakewood, great sound at reasonable price, and others. About this instrument i love the price and the size of the body, very confortable and well designed. I dare to say that the instrument compares to other of four or five times higher price. I wish It had rosewood back and sides and I hope this feature will be put on the model in the future since the Briarwood line is rather a new one, borne I think in 2003.
