This is a 1991 solid body electric guitar. The body is Poplar, neck is maple with a rosewood fingerboard. The bridge is a Peavey made "under floyd rose pat" floating bridge and has lock nuts.

The pickups are Peavey made (HSS), there is a coil tap on the humbucker, 5 position selector and master volume and tone knobs. The neck has binding along the sides.

This guitar is hand made in the U.S.A

What a stage guitar!

Sounds great, very versatile in the sounds you can get, yet those sounds are all great. This guitar do not mess around!

The neck is soooooooooooo comfy and fastttttttttttttttttttttt. It is a genuine pleasure just to put your hands on it.

The whole guitar has a very solid feel in your hands, and it will not go out of tune either. I blocked the bridge on mine but I am still very abusive when bending and what not.

I never use the coil tap however. I never did head a tapped humbucker that had a true single coil sound, I may rewire the guitar so the coil tap switch will instead be a kill switch.

For the age of this guitar and everything to be still perfect.

Wow

Reliability/Durability : 10
Again, the age of the guitar, it has took abuse over the years but its still spot on.

Never had to deal with Peavey, warranty is long up on this guitar

This guitar was practically given to me. I bought it at a pawn shop, they did not realize what they sold me.

I have no need to look for a guitar anymore. I will only get a guitar to add to the collection, not to replace. By far, the best guitar I ever owned and one of the better guitars I ever put my hands on (hey, credit to Gibson where its due).

When I go to my local music store now since getting this guitar, I do not get the same satisfaction of playing any of their guitars as I did before getting this one.

This guitar is a workhorse! Peavey's floyd rose works wonderfully and the pickup in the bridge is great. The single coils are really thin and clean. The neck is very comfortable and fast...fast....fast. This guitar stays in tune.

Sound : No Opinion
This guitar has many tones. The rear pickup can be split into a single coil. With the 5 way switch and the coil tap you have all the sound you need. I use a marshall jcm 800 with a boss ME 5 effects unit. Killer tone!

I'm a guitar tech, so I set the thing up myself. One of the easiest guitars I've ever set up with a floating trem system. Every guitar i've ever owned has had a flaw some where if you look hard enough. Few guitars don't. I manage a guitar store so I see alot of guitars everyday. Look at the neck and frets carefully prior to purchase. A flaw in the paint won't make it play any worse.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This is a hand crafted guitar. Made in the USA. Rock solid. I play every weekend with this guitar on stage for 10 years with no back up! I used to bring a backup for years........but why....I don't even break strings on this bad boy.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Don't need it.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for over 20 years. I own 7 guitars including an 1987 Ibanez jem. This guitar tops them all for versatility....sound....stability.....balance....weight....ease of use.....playability......I have a white one so it looks clean under the lights on stage. If you can still find one ......get one!

I will cry if this one goes astray.

I beleive this guitar was made in or around 87-89. It's got an alder body with a NICE Sky Blue paintjob, black chrome hardware, a floyd rose, a rock maple 24 fret bound rosewood fretboard, locking nut and medium wide/tall frets. I got this guitar with a case for $120 at Daddy's Junky Music(www.ugbm.com). It needed some work on the floyd and a neck adjustment. They were originally $700-900 so I got a good deal seeing as it's American made. I give it an eight for features only because of the sorry single coils. They will be replaced with Carvins soon.

I use it with a POD for recording and live use. I either run through the house or into a power amp and a couple cabs. I also use a DOD corrosion pedal(Nads to the walls thrash!) or with a DOD D-1 distortion. That pedal sounds good with anything. Basically, I like what this guitar does. The bridge pickup is very hot and has a nice tone. I use that pickup a lot for the good old Metallica influenced "ker-chunk". Very nice for solos to. Cuts through the mix. The neck pickup is a little to thin for that classic strat tone(Typical 80's single coil!) and the mid pickup is pretty good. I like to slam it on the mid pickup and drop the tone for a really sick creamy solo.

The neck is VERY fast. It's the fastest and most comfortable neck I've ever played on. It actually has a neck tilt set-screw at the heel of the neck. That's great for getting an extremely low action. Very nice feature. My hardware has gotten a little pitted from having it in the basement and forgetting to turn on the dehumidifier!!! :-( The output jack likes to crackle once in a while on me if I don't feed my cord through my strap when I stand.

Reliability/Durability : 10
This is a rock solid guitar. I'll take it to gigs without a backup anyday. Peavey made a good model in the G-90! Go find one if you can.

Never needed them. But, I've heard they are real good.

I've been playing for 14 years now and this is definatley my second best guitar I've ever owned. My favorite was an old SG from the Gibson custom shop.(WHY DID I EVER TRADE THAT IN??? UUGGGG!)
I'm keeping it! I just wish the single coils were more Strat like.
If it was lost or stolen......I think I'd do the Harry-Carrie.
