Features : 6
Korean made with gold finish and white banding. Fast-back tele shape, slightly out of proportion to my eyes. H-S-S config with an active pickup mounted (Acoustic Modelling(ACM)) on the bridge.

21 frets. Believe it is bass wood, it is quite light. The neck is maple and bolt-on with 5 screws. String-through body with graphite type saddles on the bridge. Tuners are grover copies.

Sound : 6
More strat than tele sound, the piezo ACM pickup is interesting and gives the guitar an edge over similar in this price range. Pickups are ok but the tone is light, hard to get that Mick Green ballsy sound out of this guitar. Sound is bright though and it has reasonable sustain.

Normally a heavier guitar player (les Pauls, Guilds) so wanted somethign a little different and this provides that. Sounds like a cheap guitar, so met my expectation.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 5
Bought this second-hand. Finish is good for this price range, doesn't look like it would take too much to damage it. The neck and action are the poorest parts of this guitar. The neck has a good c-shape and the frets are medium-large, but it buzzes like hell and the action is set quite high. Strings tend to catch on upper frets - the G and B strings ae particularly bad for this on my one. Have read that other Generations are a hit or miss so reckon I maybe got a miss - a tea-break guitar. Tried hard to adjust it but no luck yet. The intonation is good though and it stays in tune well thanks to the gell made tuners and bridge. Nut is ok, nothing special.

Reliability/Durability : 6
It reflects its price - the finish is very nice - no paint runs or bubbling/blistering. Another couple of coats of lacquer would help the durability. Strap buttons are fine.

Wouldn't rely upon it alone if gigging.

Played for 30 years. Have custom made SG and Les Paul style. The best guitar I ever owned was a Guild S30D which had all the advantages of a Les Paul without the shoulder breaking weight.

I like that this guitar is light and bright sounding. The quality is very good for the price, but it lacks depth of tone. If it were stolen I wouldn't replace it with exactly the same.

Korean made. Fast-back tele shape: H-S-S config with an active pickup mounted (Acoustic Modelling(ACM)) on the bridge. Its the ACM feature that has inspired me to put my blog up. Its simply fantastic! The other features are as you would expect on a circa-#200 guitar. 2 Points deducted for not having a trem, and no included accessores or branded hardware.

Sound : 9
The Sound Is The Thing: a perfect 10 aside from below. This little beastie is a tone monster. With the combination of the H-S-S and the ACM, this gives a potential of 11 tones - ACM only, 5-way switch blended with the ACM, and 5-way alone. I play a little bit of everything from Rockabilly to Modern Country to Rock'n'Roll to Classic Rock to Blues... I've managed to 'find the zone' for virtually all of my repertoire.

My only niggles are that in the 'blend' settings, the ACM dominates the tone - but this only needs backing off the ACM Volume a tad. Also , the S in the neck is too vanilla sounding, so will fit a vintage Filtertron into the neck (TV Jones FT1) and change the tonepot to a 3-way selector a'la Gretsch 6120 to give even more vocabulary.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Action is a touch too low giving some fretbuzz, and intonation is out. But, again, this was a #200 axe...! These shouldn't put anyone off - its good enough to gig with straight out of the box. Finish is a gorgeous Candy Apple Red. No noticeable factory flaws.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Bought this to be my stage 2nd - but it will become my 1st! The strap buttons are smallish - and I replaced with Strap Locks before even plugging it to make noise.

Unknown. There is a Peavey Amp factory at Rockingham about 30 miles away and my local guitar shop is an authorised dealer.

I have been playing for about 5 years. Current stage gear:
Laney VC30-210, Shine SHC-909 (Gretsch/Gibson clone), Peavey G-EXP ACM, Zoom G2.1u

I love this guitar and would be devestated if it went away ... but cheap enough to replace.
