This is a 1992 S-1 Peavey Generation with a Eerie Dess multi paint job or finish. Maple topped mahogany body with 4 bolt rock maple neck with rosewood fretboard. This guitar has a single coil pickup in the neck position and a humbucker pickup in the bridge position. The humbucker has a switch the lets you split the hummer or play it full with the neck pickup. The gives the guitar more variety in sounds. Gold plated hardware with a hard tail bridge. Neck has 22 frets on it's 25 1/2" scale with a 12" radius, satin maple finish. Pickup are active needing a 9 volt battery.

Sounds are typical tele style yet different due to being active. Pickups are very quiet with zero feedback. The hummer can be split down to a single coil or used as a hummer, a nice addition for sound choices. Hummer can then be engaged with neck single coil for additional voicings, totaling 4 in all. I play early country, early rock-n-roll and rockabilly and this tele fits my music to a tee. More thin than brittle in neck position, addding more fullness with good bottom by clicking on humbucker. Give a lot of credit to my Peavey Ranger 212 tube amp for giving us good sound, too. These two make a good team for my style of music from oldies to rock-n-roll.

Guitar plays extremely easy and is fast. I've never seen a finish like this one and it is hard to put in words. At different angles, the guitars gives off different hues of red, blue and purple. The finish job called Eeerie Dess is short for iridescent, a good description that is stricly custom in my books. Peavey done a great job all the way thru on this guitar. This guitar is extremely flawless even today even tho it's 10 years old and in mint condition. I plan on looking for another S-1 because they are that good in my opinion, maybe 2? 3? Yeah baby!!

This guitar will be playing long after all of us are not, it is that well made. The hardware is gold plated and still nice, everything on the little beauty is nice. I would call this an extremely dependable guitar, well made by the folks at Peavey. My hats off to them for making this well engineered and durable yet flashy guitar. Dependable plus. I would gig with no backup at all and bet all takers that'll it'll go the distance and then some. Typical Peavey quality thru out. Peavey players take a bashing for not playing the big named Gibbies, Fenders, Gretsches, etc., but I own 6 Peaveys of various models that will play with the best of any show stock.

Peavey is a customer orientated company who if given a half chance will bend over backwards to make their customers happy. They will go the extra distance to make sure their product lives up to their expectations and then some. Parts are usually available at dealers. I cannot say this for Fender or Gretsch. Gibson is good to deal with, at least they were a few years ago. Stay with Peavey and play it safe but PLAY IT!! Dollar for $$, You can't beat Peavey. My opinion based on 50 years of do's and don'ts, trial and error. Amen.

I've been playing for 50 years and have played or owned all of them. These Peaveys are starting to go up in value now as they get some age on them. The Peavey T-60 Guitar now is a collectors item, values going up by the day now as they are being snapped up. I'd have to look long and hard to find another S-1 in this shape, it plays easily with beautiful sounds only coming from great woods. Thus the mahogany, maple, rosewood combination strikes again. Les Paul?? I reach for this guitar whenever I can, it is that nice to play and listen to. Thanks Peavey.
