Made in the year 1985,U.S.A. (gotta love that!!)This jewel has 22 frets and a great feeling neck. It has a volume knob and tone knob. 3 toggle switches with coil tap capability. The pickup configuration is 2 singles and a humbucker. The finish on this axe is wonderful and durable. I bought mine new in 85' and it still looks great. The Kahler tremelo system is pretty cool. Although if you break a string, all the other strings go out of tune,,,BAD!!!!

I play all types of music,, Rock, Country, Blues, etc and this is the most virsatile axe i've ever played. I use a Johnson marquis 60/120 amp with just the effects in the amp. All pickups are quite with great powerful tone. If Peavey would've used Floyd Rose instead of Kahler, this would be the ultimate guitar for the lower tax bracket guitar player!!

It has never been touched as far as action is concerned. As a matter of fact, the only thing I had to change was a nut on the front toggle and that was my fault. I wish my other guitars was as tough as this one!

This was my 1st guitar and I played it onstage for 4 years without a backup!!! I like to live on the edge!! But I never needed one so there!! It should be obvious to all readers that for the bucks,, it's hard to beat.

I have been playing for around 15 years and I have a 67' Tele, An aluminum Strat, and this baby. If this axe was stolen, I would die cause they don't make these anymore. I highly suggest if you can find one,, get it!!! You won't be disappointed.

bought mine new in 1986 w/molded hardshell case. has 22fret neck w/phenolic fingerboard, bolted to a poplar body. finish was black w/black hardware. has s/s/h pickup configuration w/3 mini toggles for p/up on/off. toggle for humbucker is also a coil tap. strat style body though slightly larger than my strat ultra. has kahler top mount locking trem w/heavy springs and bar.

i play country, rock, blues,& r&b, and this guitar works well for all these styles. the p/ups aren't as full sounding as my strat, but they are clear and distinct. i play it through a fender hot rod deville 212 and a digitech gsp21 processor. the p/ups are very quiet. the mini toggles give a wide variety of p/up combinations/sounds.

i bought this guitar new in 1986. and used it without a backup for many years without any problems other than the tuning going south when a string breaks. the hardware has held up well. as for the finish, the guitar was stolen from me, and when it turned up a year and a half later in a pawn shop, it was dinged up pretty good, so i had it refinished.

i have been playing for 32 years. in addition to this guitar, i also own a '92 strat ultra, a '75 les paul deluxe, and a yamaha apx7 acoustic electric. it WAS stolen and i had to pay the pawnshop $100 to get it back (serial number had been gouged out so i had no real proof it was my guitar other than some scratches on the front a drunk put on it with a copper pick.) if it were lost or stolen (again) i would definitely try to replace it. i gig every weekend, and this guitar has never left me hanging.

USA made electric guitar with a Kahler locking tremolo.
Pickups are one humbucker and two single-coils with coil tap mini switches. Great looking pearl white finish on the body, neck and headstock. This thing has the best neck and fretboard that I've ever laid my hands on. Silky neck (Not sure what the wood is) with a 22 fret solid black phenolic fret board that must have been made in heaven and all gold hardware. Average modified Strat body shape with one volume and one tone control. Made in 1986.

I play heavy metal and avante garde hard rock stuff, and this guitar suits me well. Super high output humbucker handles distortion well and the single coils sound good too. The pickups also have a wonderful clean sound. Overall great rocker that can also blow out some great blues.

Great super low action complements the super-sleek phenolic fret board. Not sure on factory setup since I did buy it used. Really the only thing i dont like about this guitar is the Kahler trem bridge. I can't seem to keep the thing tuned for more than a couple of days.

This guitar is built extremely well and in my opnnion is solid enough to withstand almost anything you can do to it. Great strap buttons too. I wouldn't play this guitar at a gig without a backup; then again
I wouldn't play any guitar without a back up. Even with the occasional tuning problems, I think that this is guitar is built like a tank.

I've never had any problems with Peavey and they helped me identify the year this guitar was made and were very nice about it. Other than this I have had no experience with Peavey, but judging from this I say that they have a good thing going.

I've been playing for nearly 20 years, and i normally play strictly Hamer USA Standard and Artist guitars. When I saw and played this guitar, i fell in love with it and had to have it. The only thing i would change on this on this guitar is the bridge. It would kick ass if it had a fixed bridge, but oh well. Unfortunately, Peavey no longer manufactures this guitar so if it were stolen and i couldnt track the thief down, it would suck trying to find another one.
I play this guitar through my Peavey 5150 and Marshall 1959 plexi reissue stacks and it just rocks, plain and simple. Overall a very good guitar that you shouldnt pass up if you are lucky enough to find.
And by the way, hands down the best guitar I have ever played in this price range...

1991 - special ordered new from the factory just for me. Transparent read with Kahler and all black hardware. Played it in the studio and for about 250 shows. Like it so much, that I went and bought 3 more just like it.
It has all the features of guitars costing twice as much and plays better too.

I play all kinds of music - Alt Rock, pop, Blues, whatever. The tonal versatility of this guitar exceeds a Strat or a Les Paul. In fact, I got rid of a Les Paul custom to buy my Peavey.

Action needed to be adjusted some for my playing style. Was a bit high. Everything else was ok...

Check this out. I called the Peavey factory 19 YEARS after mine was made, and the SAME GUITAR TECH is still working there that more than likely inspected mine. Great support, and you don't any more reliable than the company keeping the same people around.

Bang for the buck is unreal, quality is outstanding, finish has lasted well, sounds great and feels comfortable. What more could you ask for.
