Features : 4
my Peavey was probably made in the far east (in some sweat shop), it has 22 frets, strat' copied body, 5 way selector switch, not to sure about the pickups, but they are single coil (because the guitar was my first and my parents decided not to buy an expensive guitar 'cause i'd probably give it up after a day or something). The body is made from Maple, with the fret board made of some cheaper alternative to Rosewood. Apart from this it's all the usual cheap copy crap.

Sound : 7
As i've now been playing for 5 years and my styles have progresses (bar chords to leadish stuff)it's still o.k and i surprised at how it's survived being dropped, bashed etc. The amp is crap and cheap as well so the overall sound is'nt going to be that good, but i have put through a mates Vox and it's tone improved by about 100%! (so much for the amp) The guitar has some background buzz but it's not that noticeable when the amp is on full. On the bridge p/u it contains alot of treble and sounds quite tiny at times. The middle p/u has a full body sound, good enough for some beefy riffs The neck p/u is good for jazz stuff, as it has a big full sound (reminds me sometimes of treble double thick cream, mmmmmmmm) the other two p/u, have a cream sound in their own right. i do feel sometimes that the pickups need ripping out and shoving some Dimarzio (?) pickups, but i can't be arsed

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
i've changed the action so many times it's hard to think what it was when i got it. After ripping out the scratch plate when i first bought it (i didn't know where the strings went!) it's been kind'a funny with the back of the plate sticking up further (probably because of the electronics and stuff) the pickup selectors are noisey which is annoying at times. the volume has some dust or something in it so the volume doesn't work at times (so i shove some WD40 in their)

Reliability/Durability : 6
Will this guitar withstand live playing? probably not The finsih is pretty thick and it has lasted the everyday wear and tear of be treated like a bitch (can i say that?) Are the strap buttons solid? yea Can you depend on it? eeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr yea Would you use it on a gig without a backup? no, never ever ever everever ever everever ever evervever ever everever ever everever ever everever ever everever ever evervvvvever ever evervvvvvever ever everever ever everever ever everever ever ever

Customer Support : 1
i went to Colt music in Chester (U.K) he's this dodgy dealer (i didn't know it at the time) down the back streets, by the train station. he was quite friendly but he just want's the money and nowt else, however, it's lasted this long so i suppose..........

Overall Rating : 7
i've been playing for about 5 years, so i suppose i am pretty good, i also own a squire p-bass so wash your teeth b4 u go to bed
Is there something you wish you had asked before buying this guitar? Yes, wears the toilet ? I suppose if i lost it or some twat stole it i'd be pissed off becasue we've been so much together (enter the violins) and it is my first guitar. i'd splash out on a gibbo' or something if it went, so i wouldn't buy another one (actual i think they've finshed production on it now)
Overall it's a good learner guitar. pile of crap next to a fender, gibbo' and the rest, but hey i luuuuuuuuuvvvv it
