Peerless 2008 Renaissance thinline all maple guitar. Standard 335 style toggle, volume and tone knobs and front lead socket.
Bridge tune-O-matic. Very nice mother of pearl binding!
Sound

This guitar sounds more jazzy and woody than the classic Gibson ES-335 'cause the body is literally hollow unlike its competitors including ES-335. Acoustic sound is very good and really sustains. When plugged into AER Compact 60, it sounds natural. Basically it is an electric guitar but its acoustic sound quality is quite remarkable. Fits my finger-style playing very well.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Very comfortable low action. Nice finish. Considering the highly affordable price, the build quality is impeccable. The only fly in the ointment is the tuner and bridge, both of which are a bit low quality gadgets. Especially, the tuner slips a little bit. Well understandable in light of its low price.

Very well built. Seems very durable. But I have to see if it lives up to my expectations.

People in the customer service department(located in Busan, Korea) of Peerless Guitar sound kind and attentive to customers. But I didn't receive any warranty. So I asked the guy at Nakwon, Seoul, Korea about the warranty thing, he said "Just bring it in when it has any problems."

I can say that it sounds better the Gibson ES-335 I used to have. Althouth the tuner and other hardwares do not seem to match the great sound quality, it is a wonderful guitar. You'll be hard pressed to get anything like this for less than $900. Let me tell that I have a very high standard regarding 'a great sounding guitar'. I have such nice guitars as Palen, Heritage Sweet 16, Merrill OM, Fender Stratocaster, Alma classical guitar, etc. Also I used to have Collings, Eastman, Gibson ES 335, Santa Cruz, Huss and Dalton, Martin OM-28 Marquis, etc. This Renaissance can stand up against any of the above as far as the sound quality is concerned. Great value for your hard-earned money.

Using an acoustic 18 watt Kustom amp the sound is everything I wanted, the tone is stunning with the neck pick-up giving superb blues/jazz sound - I love it!
Unlike the Yamaha sA2200 and the 335 the Peerless is all hollow giving a slightly more woody sound though the sustain is everything I want from a guitar.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Finish is the best I have seen of any 335 style type guitar. Has pretty much settled on the Yamaha SA2200 but the Peerless is made equally as well (spend 20 minutes looking at every inch and nut and bolt with no flaws found. The guitar is manufactured from solid wood so it was a no brainier.
The action is perfect and the neck is the smoothest I've played (so easy on the fingers) and the overall gold finish of the metal makes this a beautiful guitar to look at, a work of art.

The tuners maybe could be a little more solid other than that I simply cannot fault it. Don't gig just play for my own amusement and this guitar is awesome.
Guitar was supplied with a truly superb deluxe hard case will provide ample protection when travelling.

The price paid for the quality given is simply terrific. Having looked at most 335 type guitars including Gibson, Heritage, Eastman, Yamaha SA2200, Cort, Ibanez and Epiphone the Peerless offers by way the best quality/sound per buck of any of them and on top of that, unlike most of th guitars I looked at this is all solid wood and can only get better with age.
I would recommend this guitar to anyone.

This guitar is amazing to look at and on first glance is just beautiful. Perfect wood, great looking features and hardware and lovely craftsmanship. The hollow body build is wonderful and the inlays are spectacular. On Second look the build of the wood is still the most beautiful thing, but the electrics, tuners and bridge are utter bobbins.
The pickup selector cuts out, the bridge and tailpiece are cheap and the tuners slip. The volume and tone knob are very 'all or nothing'. However this can all be rectified by a couple of hundred dollars - electrics can be fixed, wood and tone can't.
I'd buy this guitar again and another one as well, quite happily, because for a couple of fixes you'll get a guitar worth many times over what you paid.
Sound

It's dirty through distortion, lovely and warm through a clean channel, but all this happens when it works. Replace the electrics and you'll have a guitar that does great blues and lovely jazz. The pick ups are a little low output, but, still sound great.

Amazing wood - set up and build, from start to finish, this guitar works straight out of the box on that level.
Fix the electrics and start scouting ebay for tuners and nickel built replacements.

As stated before, this guitar needs some work. Fix it up slightly and you'll have the guitar of your dreams. Otherwise it's a good guitar that I would use for recording but not live.

I've had it a while now and I normally play a mix of strats and gibsons. This is a great guitar but I wish I'd done more testing on it, put it through it's places much more. If the hardware was better then the guitar would be perfect.

Dark Brown finish double cutaway archtop, gold hardware with tune-a-matic bridge, 2 tone 2 volume, 3 way toggle for the 2 humbucker pickups (brand unknown), nice shell binding. Nice looking guitar, looks nearly identical to the Eastman guitars.
Sound

I really like the way this guitars plays and sounds. It doesn't have as much resonance as I would like, but it has a nice smooth fat sound, and is super easy to play. I had been looking at some Hofner and Eastman archtop guitars, and I found out that Eastman are made in asia, which I didn't really want to shell out over $2,000 for! This guitar had a made in Korea sticker on the neck, that is how slightly used this guitar was when I got it. I would like this guitar to have a little more ring to it, but it has such a nice deep mellow sound I don't want to mess with it! I really like it!

The wood used, quality of craftsmanship, etc. looks awesome. I compared this to a few Gibsons I own, and this is right up there with the quality. Not as clubby feeling, which I like, and unique since everyone owns a fender or gibson.

This guitar has been holding up real well with hauling it around and playing gigs. I have taken it to a few jam seasons and just about everyone wants to play on it. A few other people mentioned it looks just like the eastman hollow body archtop guitars, the headstock looks like a twin too. Maybe they are made by the same factory or guy? Either way, the quality and sound is very comparable. I think this guitar will hold up just fine, it is a million times better than what I paid for it!!!

Not a clue of who, what, when where, etc. I bought it used on craigslist, and for the price I don't care if there is a warranty or not, I have already gotten my monies worth out of this beauty. I found a listing for a company that sell peerless, but I don't know if its' the same company that built this guitar because I can't find a website and I don't want to call korea because I don't speak korean!

I have been playing since I was 15 or so, I have a big collection of Gibson, Fender, PRS, ESP, Jackson, LTD, OLP, Carlson, Samick, Ibanez, etc. Most are solid body guitars I have a washburn HB35 which is ok, it's surprisingly good, but nothing like this peerless. (funny name, huh?)

It is a great guitar for fusion, jazz, and blues.
I am using Raney amp and its warm sound is suitable for the guitar.
The overall tone is very warm yet bright problably because of the full hollow construction.
it has lots of acoustic resonances compare to 335 and it makes the guitar pretty unique.

This is a very well bulit guitar. The actions is right, the finish is just perfect and very beautiful. No falws of any kind, I found.
The neck is especially great.

This is a rock solid guitar. You can feel it once you grab it. live playing or studio work, no problem. will last a decade or two.
I give it to 9 because I've owned it only for 4 months.

I have been playing for 20 years, mostly rock, fuision and jazz. I have a dozen guitars including epiphone 335 DOT, stratocaster 62 reissue, D'aquisto archtop and so on. This is one of the best guitars I have ever had or played.
I would compare this with 2,3 times more expensive ones. I personlly think it could easily better than Gibson 335 in many ways since it's all solid wood. I will buy another one immediately if it's stolen.
This Peerless factory has made millions of guitars for top brands in the world for 37 years. I've heard it is one of the biggest and most reliable 'hidden builders' in the guitar world.
Truly great guitar for money. Not officially selling in US or UK yet but I'm pretty sure it would be revolutionary if they start to sell in US or UK because of the incredible value.
