Early 70s Japanese (Hoshino factory is the one usually attributed to these)
21 Frets, rosewood fingerboard, solid top, natural finish too light to be maple, not sure what kind of wood.
2 humbuckers, vol. and tone for each 3 way switch (neck, both, bridge).
silver hardware, part of tune-o-matic bridge is gold, assume non-original. the tuners are REALLY cheap, but don't fall out of tune that quickly.
w/ chipboard case.

sound is kind of thin next to what I am use to (EMG-81), some sweet thick sounds for bluesy/stoner rock soloing out of the bridge pick up.
I use this for more rock based stuff when I am fooling around (vs metal/hardcore stuff I'd play on my other Penco!)

I went over it and set it up as soon as it came in so N/A.
Small chip in one of the SGs horns that was glued in weird, totally cosmetic flaw.
The finish is really nice, I can't think of any other natural blonde finished SGs I have ever seen.

it's 30+ years old and it still plays well. Must be pretty well made I guess!

I have been playin for 20 years. I have another Penco guitar (Les Paul copy), 1968 Yamaha Acoustic, late 90s Epiphone SG bass, 1967 Kustom 200 bass head, Peavy 2x15" cab, ??? Marshall Mosfet Lead 100 Head, 4x12" marshall cab, and a full 16 track reel to reel studio.
I just liked my other Penco a lot so I icked this up because it was cheap. I like this guitar a lot it looks better than it sounds but I mostly play it unplugged when laying in bed anyway.
